Braman probably wasn't as bad as Tose.  Also, I think the all-time worst owner might be William Baker of the Phillies.

Tose wanted to win, but had the gambling problem, and back then, casinos were still allowed to really prey on those folks.  Braman never wanted to win, he wanted to turn a profit.  Classic used car salesman stereotype.  Don't care about how you turn the profit, just turn the profit.

Baker is way before my time.  All I know is that the Phillies once upon a time played at 'Baker Bowl'.  That's all I know.

56 is a solid number for an IOL. Like it.

I really like Brown embracing 43.  40s are a great numbers for Ss.  Cover like a DB but hit you like a LB type number.

Damon Moore was the last defensive 43 that I can remember.  Sproles is the one who wore it most recently.

How quickly the Eagles forget about Robert Quinn.

Somebody start a 'Who Wore It Better' thread on the board 🤣

Braman did almost move the team but I don't know that he didn't want to win.  He brought in Buddy Ryan. He got rid of him when he couldn't win in the playoffs.  Now, he didn't spend money on the team and refused to pay White his value.  I am not sure that he was that much worse than other NFL owners.  White also had sued the NFL for FA rights and that likely played a role in him signing with a new team.

Heard swift is wearing 0 in honor of pj tucker’s scoring output on most nights

Jeez, Hurts couldn’t give number 1 to Penny? I thought he was a great teammate.

The bolded is not true. Tose wanted to move the team to Phoenix. Braman bought the team and kept them here.

He was at the level of the Brown family.  Did any other team force their players to pay for their socks?

He brought in Ryan, because he was a smart enough businessman to recognize that you need to placate the customers to a certain extent in order to get them to spend the money.

As for White's lawsuit... that was something he was asked to do by the NFLPA to bring about Free Agency.  He was the biggest name at the time whose contract was about to expire.  He had to do it, and he had to switch teams to really validate FA was real... BUT, at the same time, Braman never even offered him a contract.  Braman was also the poster child for bad ownership and trying to squeeze players while also trying to maximize profits.

And I guess I was wrong about 86 being taken out of circulation. They have assigned both 86 and 87 this year.

But 71 is another one that's not being assigned now.

Zentner is 49. Give him the job now.

And Street switched to 97, so it looks like Carter's 98 should be permanent.

People had mentioned Johnny Buchanan LB from Del the other day.  Seems like he's getting  a tryout.

Supposedly Siposs was going to change to 8.  But for TC, I don't think it matters.  They won't be on the field at the same time, so there can be overlap.

Can’t believe they didn’t retire desean’s #10 especially with his performance during his second stint lol
