I should have noted that Kirk and Scherff got their teams third-round comp picks. Kirk signed 4-$72M and Scherff was 3-$49.5.

That’s the type of stuff I’m concerned about with the Hurts contract. How much guaranteed money will he want?

Bored and made a bunch of trades

Lol Browns really screwed over teams with that contract

Hope he don’t go to Skins, don’t want to deal with it

Lamar doesn't have an agent, he's representing himself. I don't think you are going to see a fully guaranteed contract again anytime soon in the NFL, especially for Lamar. He has never played a full season and hasn't come anywhere close to his 2019 MVP year performance. For all but one year, Lamar has had a top 5 defense that could bail him out and he's failed to deliver in the playoffs. Ravens could plug Derek Carr in at QB and get the same results for a lot less money.

LB you say?

I know. I don't see Howie doing it since he doesn't value LB, but Sanders can play at multiple positions since he is fairly good in coverage and rushing the passer.

Lamar's mom is his agent

I was listening to NFL Radio last night and they have Ryan Harris doing shows now as a co-host.  My God, that guy has some horrible takes.  He said, of the Broncos' DC candidates, that Matt Patricia was BY FAR the best choice.  The host asked him "why not Rex Ryan?" and he replied "He's not a winner.  His defenses were all smoke and mirrors, and you knew he was just going to blitz on every 3rd and 4th down."

Now, I'm not a big fan of anything Rex Ryan -- but the guy won a Super Bowl as Ravens' DC and took the Jets to back-to-back AFC Championship games as a head coach -- THE F'N JETS -- to back-to-back AFC Championship games ... with Mark Sanchez at QB.  The defense was better than pretty good.

I believe the NFL game has quite possibly passed him by, but to say he's not a winner and his defenses were smoke and mirrors is pretty dumb.

It's not like the game is that much different. Matt Patricia may be a better choice but he has not done well away from Bill.  He also has not been well liked by his players.  Ryan has been the type of coach that gets players to run through walls for him.

That doesn't change the overall point, probably makes it worse.

I give this draft 2.5 Howie's.  I don't trust PAC 12 CBs.  I am not sure what you were doing in the second round but I guess going from 3 to 5 top 100 picks is OK.  Why draft a RB in the 2nd round? Seems like a meh pick given the needs on defense and o-line.  One reason I would like to see them maybe stay put at 30 is that there may be some very good OT and DT prospects available.

That one is legendary!

I loved Jason Avant, he is probably my favorite low key Eagle of all time. The brief interaction I had with him at training camp skyrocketed his status to me.

He'd be my favorite "non superstar" Eagle of the past couple regimes as well. Reliable as hell, and a super nice guy.

He won’t last until Pick #30.  He would be fabulous, but Howie won’t see him as the BPA at #10.  If he is still on the Board at $30 we should seriously consider him, but again I don’t think Howie will do so.  Too many other needs.

Sanders better blow up the combine if he's gonna go in R1. I have him as mid 2nd-early 3rd

I was letting you know that it's not exactly him. His mom is his de facto agent. I think he also gets input from his inner circle as well. He didn't want an agent because he didn't want them taking a percentage of the deal

RGIII played with Lamar in BAL and says Lamar told him he wants to be a billionaire.  At some point, if they haven't already gotten there, the Ravens will simply franchise him -- hope he refuses to sign -- then put it out that they're willing to trade him since he's refusing to sign the tag.  If they gave him the non-exclusive tag then another team could broker a long-term deal with him, but the Ravens would only get two first round picks as compensation ... which is less than what SEA got for an aging Russ ... so, IMO the likelihood is the Ravens will give him the exclusive franchise tag at $45M for one year and have a plan in place if he refuses to sign.

Reminds me of the good old days when Eric Lindros used his dad for his agent -- and problems ensued.

Hurts has shown me more in 2 years than Lamar has his entire career.

If Im the Ravens Im getting the F outta dodge before it's too late.  Theyre not winning jack ish with him

Oh I'd love an improvement at LB. But we know this regimes outlook. However I am expecting TJ to get an expensive extension, which I would really dislike. We finally spend on a LB and it's an inferior one.

I want to be a billionaire too. That doesn't mean I'm gonna quit my job because they don't agree that I'm not worth a billion dollars

Hurts' deal is likely to be closer to $250 million vs. $200.  If it mirrors Murray's deal he will have probably more than $150 million in guarantees.

Most likely.  Murray and Russ got 5-year deals, and Josh Allen got a 6-year deal.  I doubt Howie will be able to do the 4-year term he did with Wentz.

The problems ensued when Lindros slept with Brind'amour's wife, ruptured his spleen and got concussed.
