Most likely.  Murray and Russ got 5-year deals, and Josh Allen got a 6-year deal.  I doubt Howie will be able to do the 4-year term he did with Wentz.

Five with an out after three seems obvious.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

He would of gotten away with it too if it wasn't for that pesky Rod the Bod

And the trade to Carolina didn't save his marriage or Eric's spleen.

RGIII played with Lamar in BAL and says Lamar told him he wants to be a billionaire.  At some point, if they haven't already gotten there, the Ravens will simply franchise him -- hope he refuses to sign -- then put it out that they're willing to trade him since he's refusing to sign the tag.  If they gave him the non-exclusive tag then another team could broker a long-term deal with him, but the Ravens would only get two first round picks as compensation ... which is less than what SEA got for an aging Russ ... so, IMO the likelihood is the Ravens will give him the exclusive franchise tag at $45M for one year and have a plan in place if he refuses to sign.

Reminds me of the good old days when Eric Lindros used his dad for his agent -- and problems ensued.

3%, that's what an agent can make off a contract deal. I think Lamar is losing out on a lot more than 3% by representing himself or having his mother do it. What kind of endorsements is he losing out on? All of those things real agents handle because they know somebody. Not that I watch a lot of TV and I'm out of that market, but I don't recall seeing Lamar on any national commercials.

If he wants to be a billionaire he needs to hire a real agent and stop running so much so he can prolong his career.

Yup and then got his ass kicked in the locker room. The rumor then is Brind'Amour made an ultimatum which led to his trade.

Brind'Amour upgraded, though -- at least in terms of looks

Almost as bad as when Patrick Sharp tagged Duncan Keith's wife .... then the Hawks brought Sharp back years later with Keith still on the team.

Both should have followed the Thomases instead and used the power of Brotherly Love.

Word on the street is Billy Davis is being targeted as the front runner to return as DC.

It was one of those weird internet rumors that appeared on a bunch of message boards.  It's the kind of stuff that you see on twitter nowadays.  What confirms it in my mind is that when Rod divorced his wife, she dismissed her claim for spousal support.  In NC, infidelity by a spouse is a complete bar to spousal support.  Given the income disparity, there's no reason she would have just given it up given that she didn't work.

He'd be my favorite "non superstar" Eagle of the past couple regimes as well. Reliable as hell, and a super nice guy.

Sanders better blow up the combine if he's gonna go in R1. I have him as mid 2nd-early 3rd

He looks like another Blake Cashman to me.

I liked him as a prospect.

It seems more likely than not Lamar is on another team next year. Don't know how they bridge this gap.

Well he should keep her away from hockey players.

My top 5 teams for Lamar if traded:

1. Raiders

2. Saints

3. Patriots

4. Jets

5. Falcons

IMO, Hargrave at 20M/Y or a 3rd rounder/20M cap space is an easy decision.

If this was Hargrave on his 2nd contract, I'd rather resign him. However his game will fall off a cliff if he loses even a 1/4 of a step.

I don't see any team paying him the money he wants

I think the top 2 are options.  I don't think the others are at this point.

If I'm the Ravens, I'm letting Lamar walk.  All this talk about guaranteed money, but he gets hurt all the time and his playoff record is terrible.  In 5 seasons, he has a grand total of 1 playoff win.  You'll find someone dumb enough to give you a king's ransom.  Maybe the Jets?

Hope he don’t go to Skins, don’t want to deal with it

Lamar on the Skins would be fine.  They would ruin him just like they did RG3.

Raiders probably dont have the cash to pay the signing bonus

Ike Reese made a good point on WIP. Almost all the Eagles good draft picks have been on the offensive side. He asked their best defensive draft pick of the last 5 years and it's probably Josh Sweat, which says a lot. This draft looks to be heavy on defense for them. Time to get some young home grown studs on that side of the ball so they don't have to rely on trades and signings. This is why I want them to focus on CB. It's a good CB draft, they have a chance to really shore up that unit this year with young talent.

That was the back in the day rumor.
