I saw that. They traded a franchise QB for a reason, and that org looked a happier place to be sans Wilson after he left. Carroll looked like he was enjoying coaching again

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Elway was a knob, but he’s higher than #10.  No way would Brees or Rodgers be above him.

Brady cheating to rig a conference championship game disqualified him permanently from any #1 ranking, and Montana is #1 above Manning

Eagles missed out by keeping Michael Clay and not hiring Bubba Ventrone. Even had the Sirianni connection to lure him here.

I think Miles is both underrated and overrated at the same time.  He's a good back without much mileage. I wouldn't pay him too much and you can in theory try to do better but it also helps to cross off a position for a while and focus elsewhere if its cost effective

I’d be happy saying the 2/3 round draft pick and using him.  He doesn’t need to be upgraded (that’s the underrated part).  He also doesn’t deserve to be paid.  That’s the overrated part.

So I completely agree.

That’s a heavily flawed list, as it only acknowledges a hit as a player who signs his second contract with the team who drafted him.

Therefore, Derek Barnett is a hit while Byron Jones is a miss. Carson Wentz is a hit, but Riley Reiff with 149 starts(69 on his rookie contract with DET) was a miss.

Those may be uncommon occurrences, but when you’re charting such a small number, that’s 20% of the QB hits, 20% of the OG misses.

Regarding Byron Jones and Riley Reiff and other players who choose to leave their original drafting team after their Rookie contract comes to an end, the model supports both 1) the more stringent/restrictive definition of "hit” that is commonly espoused here in the Blog where the inability of the team to ensure the player signs here rather than with another team, and 2) the less stringent/restrictive definition that simply looks at the Second Contract Pay Ratio irrespective of what team payed the first and second contracts.  What individuals do with the data is a matter of personal choice.

I forget who said it, but I believe Manning played the qb position at a pure level higher than anyone in history.  Mahomes is very close to challenging that.  From a different era, Marino belongs in that conversation.

When post season is factored in, Manning falls back and Marino falls off.  Brady and Montana come to the forefront.  But I don’t think either was the pure dominant qb that Manning/Mahomes/Marino were/are.

So they shanked it on special teams…

You have to watch the new one about Harry and Megan. I think it’s better than this one

Peyton's last year wasn't good. Defense definitely took him to the SB and won it

Not really Eagles related just thinking about the draft a little bit.  The Bears have the most amount of Cap Space in the NFL.  If you were them would you trade the #1 pick in the draft for Lamar Jackson?  Would it cost more or less than that in a trade?

Skip it all and just watch this last episode. You’ll love it

Let’s say we take a RB in the 2nd. Forget about if we should or not, for this scenario it’s what’s going down.

Would you rather take Achane, Gibbs or Charbonnet?

Gibbs. I think he has the highest upside in the draft. Even more than Robinson. Robinson may be more polished, but Gibbs has dynamic explosiveness. Gibbs to me looks like a more explosive version of Dalvin Cook coming out.

Has there been any more news on defensive coordinator?

Peyton Manning's level of play always dipped significantly in the postseason.

Greatest regular season QB of all time.  Playoffs were a different story.

Even his last season in the regular season wasn't good. Likely why he decided to retire

So thematic of past draft failures.

Agreed.  When positional need overtakes getting the best players possible, the risk of a failed pick increases markedly.
