Toronto’s statement took the NFL-wide premise of the article and made it Eagles-specific.  Poyer can not be counted as a selected player that was a failure.  By being a good player for the Browns and Bills he played out his first contract and signed a second contract for more money.  That makes him an example of a successful NFL pick.  The graph provided by the article segregates successful players that sign with the same team from successful players that sign with a different team.  I suspect, but do not know, that TorontoEagle would also call any Eagles draft pick who signs a second contract with a different team, a "wasted” pick. His default perspective is Eagles-only, which makes reading an article like the one I linked difficult for him.  That is how he rolls.

And here I thought we were having a discussion without throwing around personal insults. I can roll with that though, pinball wizard.

What's the word on Lukas Van Ness? You couldn't pay me to watch an Iowa game so I have very little knowledge about him.

PFF has his rated as the 3rd best DE. Has prototype size and good production.

One clip I saw, Van Ness was outstanding and destroyed and pancaked the LT on that rush.  If they think he can play like that consistently in NFL, he should be on top of our draft board.

FYI, Boutte got kicked off LSU for hooking up with an LSU staffer. He lacks judgement.

I got a B.

Fyi, there's no personal insult in his post. Maybe this explains why you have a problem with the moderators.

Anyone think Zay Flowers may be a Sirianna wet dream? I can see him being explosive in the WR screen package Siri loves so much. And would think he can help our return game too.

Good fit but lower priority

Anyone have a good streaming option for the Paul-Fury fight?

I kinda want to see it but never thought about spending a dime on it.

I’m more concerned about his lack of effort on the playing field and how much explosiveness he appears to have lost following two surgeries.

If we get Pace in the 5th, I'd be estatic.  He's my draft crush for sure.  I want a nasty, mean LB attacks.

Wrong

Watching some Deuce Watts who I like at the WO point , and Pratt the QB stands out …. Big arm , accurate , nice mobility . He looks like a top 50 pick

This place has been civil and  the immaturity that was rampant has diminished greatly , let’s not ruin it .

Watching this finally today there is reason to be hopeful about the future going forward. The offensive core is intact and will be together for likely at least the next 2-3 years.  They played great in the biggest of games.  More specifically Jalen stepped up and played amazing in the biggest of games.  That's a great sign for the player he is as well as who the other young players on offense are when it comes to playing in huge games.

The fact that we didn't get it done with the most talented defense we have had in decades is concerning but on the flipside they played putrid that even though we won't have as talented as a defense going forward an improvement at DC you would think could at least scheme a more competent defense in a Super Bowl in the future if we were to get back.  As long as key players on offense can continue to stay healthy then I think we can absolutely get back and win the Super Bowl in this 2-3 year window we have going forward before the offense has to start being rebuilt.

Any relation to the Tuipulotu they already have that sucks???

Maybe the Tuipulotu we already have is the Casey Mathews and this new one is the Clay Matthews🤔

Brothers

First time I’ve done/researched anything draft wise.

The past few years I’ve been against going CB early due to the rules making it more and more challenging for CBs to be successful. However, if we stay out at 10 it looks as though the BPA will be a CB. Also, with the impending boatload of money going to Hurts, we won’t have the luxury of using big time FA money to sign a CB. So need to hit on a draft pick for a change.

I don’t think he sucks. Not every interior DLman is going to be 2018 Fletcher Cox. He’s a solid rotational piece

There are a few physical CBs in the draft , Ringo and Banks are 2

I have Banks as my favorite CB

Could we go Witherspoon in the First and Banks in the Second?

When you are looking at Van Ness check out Iowa’s LB Jack Campbell.  I would love to see him as an Eagle.

Is acknowledging that you think first and foremost and almost exclusively from an Eagles perspective an "insult”?
