We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Definitely glad Johnson is staying.

Not to beat a dead horse on the Wentz issue, there were certainly a multitude of reasons he fell off a cliff, however I always thought one of those reasons was losing Reich and DeFillipo at the same time after year two. Losing that good coaching influence didn’t help. Steichen got a HC job and we couldn’t do anything about that, just like Johnson likely will get a HC job soon, but in the mean time, it helps to keep as much of the positive influence around Hurts as long as we can.

I think the natural evolution with Hurts is to pass more this season.  Another reason why drafting a RB high is very unlikely.

Less RPOs + more 5-7 step drops🙏

So a temporary DC spot to fill. That’s odd.

Seems likely to be a health issue that they don't want to give away job but seems iffy he'd get it back

Would love to know who they interviewed.

You can almost be certain one candidate was Duce Staley.

Does that even comply with the Rooney Rule or do the interviews not have to be formal?

There's two ways to look at that; it depends what the team wants to do in regards to Hurts' running.  He threw 460 passes in 15 games, which is just under 31 throws per game -- probably a good number for Hurts.  The Eagles as a team threw 536 times and ran 544 times; I would assume Nick wants to keep that ratio.

I think there's a good possibility if the Eagles let Sanders walk that they think pick #64 is a good spot to draft his replacement.  If Charbonnet or Zach Evans is on the board the Eagles might take RB.  I would prefer they wait until Round 3, but it's tough to guarantee the player they want will be there.  As fans, we like a lot of the RB prospects -- the Eagles might only have 2-3 on their radar.

This is also dependent on free agency, of course.  Maybe the RB market is saturated and a guy like Josh Jacobs can be had for cheap.

I think Rooney Rule only applies to GM and head coach

This mock has us taking Porter Jr., Nolan Smith, Christopher Smith and an undersized Northwestern DT. That seems really underwhelming. I also don’t see Porter as a fit in a mostly zone scheme.

I guess Porter at 10 can be underwhelming considering a lack of ball production.

But he and Nolan Smith are two more cornerstone pieces for the defense. Id be pretty happy overall.

Smith is probably as good a safety prospect as you can hope to find in round 2. But we have to see how free agency shakes out. Im not interested in drafting a backup to Blankenship in round 2.  And I dont think its a sure thing that any 2nd round safety comes in and plays better than Blankenship did as a rookie. In year 2, he figures to be head and shoulders above any new player.

Dont really know about the DT. And of course thatll depend on the system we are running.

They have to.

Even if they're sham interviews, will be hard for people to complain given who was hired.

We are not drafting a guy named "Bumper Pool” if that’s even a real guy. Get the hell out of here.

I watched Uzomah last night. Good player. Played an annoying amount of 4i.

I didn’t want to make any trades to see how it went….it’s an insanely long time between pick 94 and 221. Howie will definitely be moving around

I was a big fan of his while I figured we would be looking for that position. He reminds me a lot of Paschal from last years draft who I also loved.

I think he has a lot more juice than Paschal off the edge.

I take him as a backup

didn't he walk out on his team because he didn't want to be a backup?

That's really dumb.  All pools have bumpers, unless its the swimming kind.

Does a team get the two 3rd round Comp Picks if a female Assistant Coach is promoted away by another team?
