Total F up by the Nets.  Did they learn nothing from the Sixers??

If you want Simmons gone, you don't sit him, you make him play.  They should max out his minutes the rest of the season.  Guarantee he'll volunteer to leave on his own.

Eagles could be interested depending on the money. I think they draft a RB regardless. Kareem Hunt and Williams could be in play too.

If anyone wants a fat RB.

I remember how many debates I had with people about how Ben Simmons' flaws were going to kill the Sixers and prevent him from ever being anything special and people saying the usual "Smart basketball fans watch Simmons and know he's great" line. And also a lot of those same people, debating why losing Jimmy Butler would kill the Sixers and everyone pretending to be uber excited about Al Horford.

Funny how they quickly reversed on those takes and pretend like they never had them to begin with.

I remember feeling so bad for Sixers fans when theyd post those offseason clips of Simmons hitting some shots in an empty gym after working on his form (that was still clearly broken).  Rough.

Does Australia have a pro league?  He should probably go there.

Fournette is a tool.  Do not want.

They were in denial and trying to convince themselves something they knew deep down was never going to happen. And people in denial usually respond angrily and/or violently when you try to bring them out of it. Because denial happens out of self preservation.

You talk to a lot of really stupid basketball fans then. yikes.

Yeah. There wasn’t a person in the sixers thread who remotely liked the Al horford signing. It was dumb then and it dumb to begin with. And most accepted the sixers weren’t bringing back butler and Harris and they’d likely go tobias which due to multiple factors.

Pew pew.

Kapadia freaking ripped into him on their new podcast. He had some analytics that really put into perspective just how bad the defense was and just how slightly below average they had to be to have won that SB

Australia pro league is where Brett Brown coached Ben's dad.

The Young Socialite isn't going there and leaving the NBA money though.

Lead back? Ok lol

I remember reading the Rams didn't keep Chris Schula on their staff, though not sure if it's official. Eagles interviewed him for DC. Maybe they bring him on the staff.

Same things we said about Gannon

Only this time it's different.

I also do not want to model myself after the defending NBA champions and the best NBA franchise of the past 10 years.

Official.

Solid, although easy call, move at OC.

in fairness draymond green and klay Thompson were actually good defenders in that run.

To be fair we cruised through the NFC playoffs via defense and running.

Conversation I had with someone at work today...not entirely my rationale, not sure I totally agree, but interesting...

The defense is going to take a step back in the offseason.  Either through retaining guys that are aging, or losing them.  It's going to be a lot of turnover.  And the defense STILL was useless in the defining game of our season.

If that is inevitable...then why not upgrade the offense?  Teams generally win SB's with an unstoppable offense.  Draft an elite WR in round 1 to replace upgrade Watkins.  In the midrounds, find a prototypical 3rd down back that disappears behind the OL and is a hyper-agile weapon in the passing game.  Sign a veteran bigger back to pair with Gainwell and the rookie.

That's the #1 offense in the NFL.  And that's a SB competitor even with a lesser defense.

Ok. Need you guys to grind the film and report back.

JUST the 1st Green Bay game though. This one doesn't count

Yeah I'm on board. Imagine him and Flowers or Jaxon as new weapons to this offense. Would be pretty sick.

That would be tremendous, but I just can’t see us using 2 of our first 3 picks on skill players.

Realistically, if we were able to get Downs or Dell in the 2nd and Achane in the 3rd while using 10 and 30 on defense I’d be pretty happy.
