Been reading The Athletic on the push play.  The complaint that it isn’t football is plain dumb.  Maybe forgotten football in a pass crazy NFL, but scrum type plays are the birth of football.  Anybody that played on an old style offense or an option offense like the Wing T, Wishbone, Veer, Option I etc. knows full well that plays where the halfback, fullback, tailback pushed the QB forwards on short yardage isn’t much different.

The league wants TRUE football plays, like the ones where the Chiefs spin around in a circle in the huddle before going to the line!

Why are you intentionally skipping over alleged alcohol involvement and the fact that two people died? Is this a bit?

No one is skipping over anything.  He did not wreck the other car.

He was allegedly racing the car that crashed, and we know that a high rate of speed contributed to the crash. Are you intentionally ignoring Carter’s involvement in this?

He did leave the scene and then came back:

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/35760585/warrants-arrest-jalen-carter-ex-georgia-star-nfl-draft-prospect

According to documents and recordings of 911 calls reviewed by the Journal-Constitution, at least two vehicles driven by Georgia football players had been at the scene, including the Jeep driven by Carter, who left the scene before police or emergency personnel arrived

My bad - I didn't see that article.  It doesn't mean he didn't provide aid.  It sounds like there other people around at the time including staff members in the UGA program.  My guess is they told him to leave.  That same article says the officer that interviewed Carter observed no signs he was drinking.

No - it seems likely he engaged in dangerous behavior that resulted in 2 people getting killed.  The person that was killed also was engaging in the behavior.  What role if any Carter had in the other car wrecking isn't clear.

Edit: I even forgot to mention lying to the police and fleeing the scene of an accident.

Yup cause he wasn’t charged with any of that

Sure.

Time to take a hometown discount, Brandon.

Lol. Ok. I guess racing your drunk friend is all good. Boys will be boys.

Whose clone is he?

I don’t think so. BG had a pretty thick physique which was mature and filled out. He weighed in at the combine at almost 270 pounds standing 6’1”.

Anderson is pretty light. He’ll probably come in to the combine over 250, but he’ll be a few inches taller and I think most teams will understand that he’ll probably play in the 240 range.

Van Ness, not Anderson.

Nope not saying that hopefully lesson learned but people are acting like he caused the crash or something that it’s not.

He's obviously gotten sound advice from Rosenhaus and whomever else is advising him legally.  Turning himself in to police, giving a verbal/written statement, and getting back to the Combine are all the correct steps to deal with this head-on.  One can only guess at this point whether his statement to police is now 100% truthful.

Sucks that he's made numerous mistakes that need to be cleaned up.  As I said before, no way in hell he'd be on my board as a first round pick; let some other team worry about him -- because he's going to be a headache going forward.  His talent is overrated as well.  I don't view him as good a prospect as Jordan Davis was last year.

I feel like BG is more comparable to Tui the younger, or Kancey in terms of body type - just an absolute bully as a DE at Michigan.

Single Wing as well.  That was the Offensive formation my school used when I first started playing.

Every thing I have heard about Van Ness is that he is a bully/beast as well.

Uzoamah nice size , I like his game

He's very physically gifted and can bullrush - would Jordan Mailata be scared? No.  He has to develop some more moves and improve his technique, but the ceiling is high.

Will McDonald nice size too , he is a bit older than I like … he will be 24

Did you get a personality refund from the clone manufacturer?

I was comparing BG to Kancey and that conversation morphed from the Lukas Van Ness comparisons from earlier.  Somehow there was some confusion on the comparisons.

He plays with great strength but also can get after it.  He's also relentless in pursuit.  I just think he's going to be a gamer in the NFL.  The kind of guy who consistantly makes plays.

He seems like a pure pass rush specialist

I just assumed he was kind of slight.

Be should be able to develop run support, although hes already kind of old.

Yes you are, you ignored that he left the scene.

Its amazing how people are treating this like no big deal.  Imagine seeing a horrific car crash with your friends inside and just running away.
