I absolutely hate this strategy. I know the league leans to offenses favor, but you are putting all your eggs in one basket. If the offense doesn't have an A game, you are likely going to lose. Hell, we just saw even WITH an A game from the offense, you can still lose. You need balance so not only one side can support the other, but they can also pick them up and win the game if one of them is struggling.

I wouldn’t do it. But I do think the Eagles if the guys who are best available to them are offensive guys when they are selecting in the first two rounds then I don’t think it’s out of the question that they take the offenseive talent over the defensive talent that there. And then try to fit the pieces in free agency and of the other parts of the draft. I don’t think it’s a slam dunk just because the Eagles need a ton of help on defense that the Eagles go defense and instead go offensive with two of the first three picks.

I also trust Berman, he usually doesn’t put something out there like that unless he had a couple people saying that to him. Makes me think it’s a possibility.

People should not overreact to the Super Bowl. People do this every year. Throw out the larger regular season sample size and put too much emphasis on why you lost a playoff game and do an overcorrection.

The Eagles didn't play well in that game. That's why they lost. The roster construction was fine. The Eagles were the better roster, and I truly believe on a normal unslick field, if the Eagles and Chiefs played 100 times, the Eagles would win 60 of those games. They just happened to lose on that day and didn't play well. It doesn't mean they should change their philosophy and abandon defense and go all offense because of the result of one game.

Not to mention the Chiefs have an all-time great offensive mind in Reid, something that can't be replicated by just adding talent.

Having been through the criminal justice system myself I'd advise anyone innocent or guilty to immediately at first chance plead the 5th and get a lawyer.

Only guilty people lawyer up or plead the 5th is a worn out old trope echoed by corrupt police.

Always ask for a lawyer, never talk to police without one, plead the 5th until your lawyer arrives at which case that lawyer will say no comment.

It's the smart thing to do, people always talking about how people died for our rights and we should respect those people by upholding those rights

People died for equal representation under the law, people died so we could have the right to not incriminate ourselves, those are my rights and I'm going to honor all those that died before me fighting so I could have those rights by lawyering up.

Yeah unless Im wrongfully detained I just believe in telling the truth and coming clean.  The police will treat you a lot better and they wont pile on charges if you dont F around with them.

The fact that he shows back up, lies about being there, they realize hes a liar, they see the security footage of him driving like a maniac....yeah hes getting as many charges as they can prove.  I dont think hes done yet.

Caused it how? His friend could have chosen not to drive drunk  or not to race and drive drunk.  The members of the UGA program that were in the car could have insisted he not drive the car.  He could have ran them off the road intentionally but that's not the allegation.  He was racing with him but you can't tell me that you believe he intended for the accident to occur or have some knowledge that Carter directly caused his teammate to take the curve at too high of a speed.

Don't care about the racing.

Him leaving is a major red flag.  Don't want a guy like that.

People also forget how the Chiefs won their last Super Bowl.  They were 10 points down to the 49ers defense in the 4th quarter and still came back to win, going away.  Some folks on here reacted like the Chiefs had never scored a lot of points in a game before.

Rather try and fix the defense since we're likely losing a lot of talent. Offense is fine except needing a RB in the later rounds and possibly finding Lane's replacement if they don't him already

I just meant the general strategy. I wouldn't shoe-horn myself in the draft either and go strictly D because its more of a need. Just the whole ESP esque argument of loading up on offense and making that the priority. Teams are just going to play ball control and limit your high powered offense. You aren't going to get stops or turnovers to get your offense extra possessions. The list goes on and on.

I’m against it, but I could totally see the Eagles thinking that way. The fact Berman indicated multiple people have said it to him makes me think it’s not out of the question.

Didn't watch it because .... Brady, Scumbag, etc ...... but I believe they had homeless people starting on their OL, and the Bucs DL weren't skating on ice towards Mahomes all game long.

I don't need Andy Reid choir boys.

Racing is dumb. Lying about misdemeanors to police sends commonplace for college and professional athletes. Certain things can be overlooked.

Not a woman beater, rapist, etc...

Can probably have that guy on our team.

But to leave your dead friend shows he is completely devoid of human decency. Hes not a good person and won't change.

Racing and lying are dumb mistakes he can learn from.  Being an animal with no morals,  no value for human life,  to compassion sympathy or empathy for people close to you- that's who he is deep down. We know that now.  He's shown it.  That doesn't change.

I don't even expect him to try to render aid.  He could have been clueless as to what to do and how.  Scared. Frozen. But be there when the cops come and help them. All he had to do was stay there and he didn't even do that.

Makes you wonder what else he has seen,  and done that he has walked away from. And what he might do in the future.

I believe in telling the truth and coming clean as well, and one can easily do that with a lawyer present.

Lying to the police isn't a good look especially when they have evidence to contradict your lies, which is why it's important to have a lawyer present when making a statement to police so you don't get caught in your own lies.

I've never been accused of lying or shown to be lying or lied when I've never said anything.🤔

Like I said keep your mouth shut until you have a lawyer is the best advice I could give to anyone.

Carter will have consequences for lying whether In increased charges or just being doubted in future testimony of charges.

Would have been better for him had he just shut his trap and lawyered up.

Leaving the scene if that's what he did looks incriminating but seems there's mixed reports of why he left that maybe Georgia officials on the scene told him to leave???

But if he just bailed then showed up 2 hours later to give a statement that's pretty stupid and incriminating and that he during those 2 hours he didn't get a lawyer is even more stupid on his part.

He could have handled the situation much better, hopefully he learns from his mistakes takes his lumps and does better going forward

I don't give a flying F if he lied to try to stay out of trouble. He's a kid who did something stupid and lied to the cops about it. That happens. The guy is a beast and I'm not looking for Boy Scouts. If he is there at ten they would be a-hole stupid not to send that card in as fast as possible.

Howie's M.O. has been to build the offense through the first two rounds of the draft and to build the defense through FA and trades.  That doesn't mean it's a universal method, but more often times than not.

We will know a lot better after the tag and free agency period, but if we assume none of these pending free agents are coming back then there are a few glaring holes to fill:

RB (2) -- Gainwell, ??

RG -- ??

C -- Jurgens

DT (3) -- Davis, Williams, ???

DE -- Reddick, Sweat, ??

LB (2) -- Dean, ??

CB -- Slay, Maddox, ??

S (2) -- ??

An awful lot of additions to be made; 3 on offense and 6 on defense?  LB and RB might be additions from the discount bin again.

I've heard talk that the eagles could be interested in him as hurts backup which doesn't make sense to me seeing as he quit on the falcons when asked to be a backup.

I don't want a guy in my team that's going to close up shop at the first sign of adversity or not hang around and be a good teammate.

I wouldn't be surprised if he either retired or is starting in the XFL CFL or country rec league, he's trash.

He's a kid. And stop acting like a golden boy who never lied to the cops because I'm sure you are like this when you get pulled over.

Fess up and tell the truth, dont act like a criminal POS and you won't be treated like one.

Why? You have a right not to talk to the police.  You certainly don't want to speak and lie about.  It's much better to say nothing than to lie.  Also, fessing up to the police will always guarantee you are treated like a criminal.

Maybe they are planning for him to leave after next season or planning on Dessai leaving.

He is a criminal, so....

One thing I can guarantee you: you show up to the scene of a crime where cops just scraped some brain matter off of the pavement and start giving them fishy stories that dont add up.  Theyre going to make it a point to pile on every little charge they can think of to make an example of you.

Youre right in that he could have said nothing.  But then theyre going to check those security tapes and its all over.  Theyre coming after him at that point.

I just believe in responsibility and not lying to guys who can jam you up. This is what's about to happen to him:
