The vast majority of the time its true, and almost certainly is in his case

My grandpa was a state trooper, sheriff, and US Marshall. My dad was a career state trooper, and my brother is a state trooper now.  I've spent my entire life around law enforcement.   Theres no way Im playing games with investigating officers at the scene of a crime if Im not directly responsible.

Its suspicious what he did, and theyll keep digging.

So you're saying you're biased?

He is a criminal, so....

One thing I can guarantee you: you show up to the scene of a crime where cops just scraped some brain matter off of the pavement and start giving them fishy stories that dont add up.  Theyre going to make it a point to pile on every little charge they can think of to make an example of you.

Youre right in that he could have said nothing.  But then theyre going to check those security tapes and its all over.  Theyre coming after him at that point.

I just believe in responsibility and not lying to guys who can jam you up. This is what's about to happen to him:

I am not sure a driver would be identifiable in any security tapes but it's never good to lie.

For those who really like Kancey what do you think of Moro Ojomo ?

You got too much free time

No I can guarantee you I wouldn't have done any of the stupid ish he did, easily, because it's common decency that I learned during childhood.

And yes, if he goes silent when he shows back up to the scene, its only minimally better than making up a bunch of stories.

You know who else also died, his friends who he left for dead because he was scared of being held responsible for his criminal behavior.

If he immediately lawyers up, they'll tack on literally any charge they can think of to try and get him to come clean.  Theres no reason for him to play games like that when hes currently only looking at misdemeanors.

It would have been so much easier for him to just stay at the scene and help out and tell the truth.

20 years ago I could guarantee you I wouldn't have done the stupid ish I did that got me in jail because it was common decency I learned in childhood.

People don't always react how they think they would or how we think they should.

Maybe his childhood was different, I've never had the pressure expectations of being a top draft pick in the NFL, who am I to say In the exact same situation coming from his exact same circumstances and background I wouldnt do the exact same thing?

I asked my dad once if he could ever murder someone, he said, No Never!, I then asked him what he would do if someone raped his wife, he got all Angry And said I'd hunt them down and kill them.

Which would be murder.

It's difficult to say how we or anyone would react in any situation with out having had the same circumstances as them.

As for lawyering up, cops arent going to tack on charges when you exercise your rights, if they do than they're committing immoral crimes themselves.

I'm literally watching innocence project as I type this, throughout the country there are far too many times when corrupt police corrupt prosecutors and DAs do a lot of shady corrupt stuff that result in wrongful  convictions.

I'm not saying Carter is one of those as it's pretty evident he's guilty of some kind of involvement and still there  is zero harm in ever exercising ones right to remain silent and ask for representation.

It limits opportunity for corruption or misinformation or mishandling of facts on both sides.

Im biased against criminals who lie and abandon their friends for dead because theyre scared man-babies.

I also occasionally drive on public roads and would enjoy not having morons like him out on the road.

He was stopped last Sept in that same vehicle going 80+mph in a 45mph zone.  Gave him a break and cited him for a window tint.

The guys a turd but for some odd reason youre defending his reprehensible and criminal behavior.  I wonder why.  Im just guessing youve had some mixups with law enforcement, haven't you?

I wouldn't play games either. But if it's something serious that I'm being suspected of they can talk to me through my lawyer. You're not the only one that knows cops, and not all cops are decent human beings.

Sure they can talk to him through his lawyer, after they tack on giving false statements, leaving the scene of a crime, failing to render aid, and whatever else they decide to dream up.   Im sure they'd be happy to do that for him.

The vast majority of police officers are common, decent men and women. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool.who watches too much TV.

If some of these prospects get offended in the Combine interviews from teams, you can just imagine the questions I'd be asking Carter in the 18 minutes I had with him.

Technically since he has not been convicted if those crimes he's technically according to law not a criminal

Unless you are saying he's a criminal for the window tint and speeding in which case the only person that isn't a criminal that I know of is my wife as some how she's never had a traffic ticket🤷‍♂️

Having said that even if her were convicted of a crime that does not exclude him from being a human  person no?

Police, lawyers, prosecutors, defense attorneys, judges, the public all have their bias and that bias unfortunately blurs reality so it is in everybody's best Interests however difficult to attempt to remove those bias and simply look at facts.

One of those Facts is all humans are prone to make mistakes and hopefully we have a system that can deal with those mistakes fairly and justly, rights of representation and right to remain silent are two things put in place as an attempt to bring forth fair justice.

I don't trust lawyers or cops or judges or the system but I trust that i have a better chance of being treated justly as a human by exercising those rights.

Listened to Howie’s interview with Spads, and maybe not that interest LT he mentioned comp picks next year. He’s banking on four (as expected) but noted getting a 3 or a bunch of 4s. Basically, the high end guys are gone. Maybe we keep 1.

Re-sign CJGJ. Goodbye to the rest.

Exercising ones right to remain silent and or asking for representation isn't playing games.

If your brother, dad, grandpa think so they shouldn't be in law enforcement as they aren't part of the solution they're part of the problem

I'm not saying they do think that way but from what you've said it seems that's how you think, which isn't helpful to anyone but would certainly explain your particular bias.

Im not going to continue rambling on about this, it just disgusts me.

But specifically, this part of your post....yeah sorry, he didnt seem to have much sympathy for his fellow human "friends" who were dying in a car crash as he was focusing on his big football career while high tailing it in the opposite direction.  So no, I dont want to hear about how sorry I should feel for the poor guy who has demonstrated repeatedly that hes a POS.  I couldn't care less about him or his feelings at this point.

Yep, and he plays with extremely violent, quick hands.  Now, if he has bad technique and tries to lead with his helmet or doesn't bring his hands up, that's an issue.  He's going to cause problems for OGs.

Sheesh, they just superimposed Jordan Davis vs. Daron Payne and Bryan Brease and he dusted them...4.73 at 6-6 340.  I hope he attacks this offseason and comes back ready to dominate next year.
