Tbh I think it would nostalgia as the reason if the eagles decided to overpay to keep him and not have him go elsewhere. I’m not saying to get rid of BG but if the money is too rich don’t revert to nostalgic reasons as why you have to match it. I tend to think at 35 next season there’s a better chance he falls off then continues to play at the level he did this year even in a specialized role. 

Personally I’m more concerned with years than money. Paying him good money for 1 year is a lot different than than a multi year deal even at lower money.

Yup - CB, RB and TE is where it’s at.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said it is difficult to give QB Dak Prescott the type of supporting cast he had early in his NFL career because he is on second contract. Prescott is currently scheduled to count $49.1M against the 2023 cap.

It’s doubtful but could be good for the team long term.

My best guess is that Howie & Jalen agree to a win-win situation - which would most likely be a longer term deal with the money spread out over a number of years.  Could be similar to the Mahomes deal, imo.

How many years do you feel safe with Jalen’s type of play? Mahomes was a 10yr contract (?), that is well below market now - but he’s isn’t involved in a potential RO every play.

Probably difficult when you keep dedicating so much money to RB and LB.

That said, that's still a very talented team.  Jerry just keeps going with bad HCs.

Let me say imo I don’t think it’s very likely the Eagles take a tight end early in this draft. I know there’s some guys who’d might available at the end of the first but i don’t see the eagles going down that road especially cause of how many other positions they need to fill and cap space is going to be limited with hurts extension. 

I know Berman and wulf talked about it on their podcast earlier in the week. I find it harder to believe with the amount of holes they go tight end early in the draft 

Luke Musgrave could fall far enough in the Draft to be the clear BPA when the Eagles pick ... but only if Howie has acquired additional picks by trade(s).

Truly remarkable that the Cowboys never got to a NFCCG with Dak on his rookie contract. They had top 10 QB play with a 4th round pick.

They are going to have a heavy offensive weapon draft.
