Just a weird proclamation to make when we have no idea what the defense will look like. We know we’re gonna have a top offense again, and it’s an offensive heavy league.

EXACTLY.  My second "exactly" in 2 minutes.

The O is largely in place. We will drop Booby and get someone cheaper. We will add a 3rd receiver as Quez just jumped for his last incompletion here.  Maybe we lose one lineman but I think they work that contract out.

With that O and if we get the same Hurts (or G-d willing improved...?) we will be right back in the mix.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

The people defending Gannon today are using the "Gannon isn't playing out there, what about the players?"

You can use that take for literally every coach in the history of sports. Btw, a lot of the people I'm hearing with that take were people who wanted to fire Joe Girardi last year. And want to fire Doc Rivers now. Funny how the agenda changes based on who you support.

Marginal savings versus the 2022 cap number.  He's still on his rookie deal as a 2nd round pick.  $1.7M cap number, hardly a huge hit.  Same cost as Boston Scott, actually.

I am not OK with our offense disappearing at the same time.

Of all things to complain about this game, the offense isn't up there. 35 points is 35 points.

The only way to win the game was to keep Mahomes off the field. It worked in the first, failed in the second half and the game turned into teh shoot out it was destined to e, except our team is not built for shoot outs.

The scheme sucked.  The adjustments sucked.

Take ANY great defensive mind and tell me they would not have done different things with our personnel.  WWBBD?

Sanders?

FYI my two cents, my humble/not so humble opinions...

Gannon's inability to adjust coverage and fix the mistakes on the one WIDE OPEN TD, was directly related to the second TD  being WIDE OPEN, they used the same play, switched recievers and swapped sides. Now that may be on the players, but the coach is responsible.....    The field may hve been a valid excuse for why you couldn't get pressure on Mahomes, but it still doesn't resinate well we could not stop Mahomes in the 2nd half. NOT ONE STOP. He had the advantage on defense, with all those players and could not get it done. Was not very creative.

Siri- made a huge mistake settling for the FG- he choked, got conservative- he will learn from that I hope. That didn't help.

Shane the one coach I didn't want to lose. SMH

Hurts played well, but his fumble did result ina  TD that was the difference in the game.

With all the free agents we will lose, it was doubtful we would have been near as good next year even if we kept the coaches. SO losing them hurts more, but it wasn't going to change the fact that, we cant pay them all and keep them all, and Dallas, NY and WASH will def improve this offseason.  I do not see the Eagles repeating as NFCE champs in 2023. This was our shot and Gannon mostly came up short, with a nod to Siri and Hurts for their foibles as well.

Preventing him from going after the fumble by jerking his facemask shouldnt be allowed, but who am I?

He didn't grab his face mask.  Its just the camera angle makes it seem like he did.

There's a clear video of it on YouTube.

Not sure why we wouldn't take a look at Zimmer.

Plus with Cox leaving he doesn't have to be afraid of him stealing his smoking hot GF.

Trying to climb out of this hole of sadness. A few things that are helping:

1. We found our franchise QB. There is zero doubt. He was the best player on the field IMO. Not the best NFL player overall, but the guy who played the best game.

2. Gannon is gone.

3. We have a strong nucleus of talent and could easily be back next year.

4. 2 1st round picks.

5. Team has valuable playoff/Super Bowl experience against the best QB in the game, and one of the top two coaches in the league.

6. They all have a chip on their shoulder after letting that slip away.

Yeah, I'm still crushed but moving through the stages of grief

Eagles next DC.......Ed Reed.

He was supposed to be the HC at some HBCU.  Not sure what happened.

Yea, it actually looks like he had good enough awareness to stop reaching and not grab the facemask.

About 1729 hours to go. We should be on the clock in about 1731 hours...and then again a couple hours later.

I actually don't want an old guy. The ethos of this team has been built on the older brother/young uncle type of leaders. Don't see a reason to disrupt that; just don't hire a crap for brains.

I wonder if the Eagles are going to have an "addition through subtraction" effect with both coordinators leaving. Personally, I felt like the playcalling was a weakness, and that the offense was successful because our run game was designed so well that it made everything else relatively easy.

On defense, I felt like the improvement we saw wasn't in scheme, but in the talent we had playing at a high level. I think that is a credit to the position coaches rather than the coordinator.

Be sure to check in when its down to 1000.  Thanks.

So do we get comp picks losing coordinators?

I wouldn’t mind upgrading at LB over those guys. Also, would rather give a long contract to another CB. Only interested in Bradberry in a 1-2 year deal. He will fall off soon. As will Slay (who already has IMO).

I'd take Jamel Dean or Cam Sutton over Bradberry at this stage. I got a really bad taste in my mouth with him now. He was very grabby and holding here and there on Sunday and that's against the Chiefs wideouts. He shouldn't have to be so grabby if he's supposed to be that much better. I saw him beat a few times as well. Had a very good year but the last memory I have of him is a bad one and my trust is fractured. Picking at ten we could pick one of the top corners too, maybe one goes before ten but we'd have our pick of the litter basically.
