Kuntz has my attention now

I don’t want to spend a premium pick on a TE, so take a great athlete in the middle rounds. He certainly fits the bill.

His upside is too great. From what I’ve read he has solid intangibles too. Maybe not quite Hurts level work ethic, but definitely not any kind of concern. The team that takes him needs a really good QB coach and a vet ahead of him. A little luck with development and you have an all-pro QB.

Yup like I said I'm sure there are plenty of teams that are willing to take him in the 1st and as you say it's going to take some time.

Fields who is a plus athlete at QB as well and who I consider a pretty sub par passer when he came out he was a more accomplished passer in college than Richardson.

We'll see I'm pulling for the kid but it's gonna be a long road for him

I think success from a guy like hurts is gonna give teams the belief that all raw athletic qbs  can become good passes, not all qbs have work ethic hurts does but the potential for Richardson is high enough for teams to spend a 1st to find out.

Mayer wet the bed today

Might as well mark Darnell Washington to Dallas now.

Washington is growing on me

Sammy boy Laporta and Mike Mayer looked good in the gauntlet

Yeah he gets the slight nod over Witherspoon for me now. That length and athleticism were the tiebreakers.

Richardson is intriguing.  But I really struggle to get past his completion rate.

It’s such a projection. One thing to keep in mind is that Richardson has only played 22 games.

Hurts started more games halfway through his sophomore year, and only had a completion rate of about 61% at that point in his career. And that was playing with Alabama’s talent.

Yeah, that's fine... But not for a Top 5 pick.

So you would pass on josh allen?

He is going to be good. Maybe not super flashy or super fast, but he's going to be very good and reliable. I'd have him on my short list if the rest of the teams let him get there.

If he's there at 30, you need to seriously consider him.  I don't think Hurts is nearly as good if he's throwing to Reagor and Watkins.  The Eagles need to continue adding depth at WR.  I don't know how the Eagles are going to be able to pay AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith and Jalen Hurts.  I think they need to prepare for one fo Brown or Smith not being here in 2 years.  I hate to think like that but it's the reality of the salary cap.  If you add a guy like Smith-Njigba, they won't be as pressured to keep both.

The Eagles have through 2024 wtih Smith and Brown together for sure.  2025 is going to be Smith on a 5th year option/extension and AJ Brown traded or restructured.  They aren't paying him $26 million in 2025 and $41 million in 2026.  So even if you add JSN as the 3rd WR, he could be ready to jump up to WR2 in 2 years if needed.

My dream is adding Marvin Harrison Jr next year but he's going to be a top pick.

Allen was a better thrower in college

Marginally.  He was always viewed as a boom or bust prospect.  But your point is valid.

Darnell Washington going top 20, as long as his interviews/medicals check out. Freaks like that go early.

God he look good

Richardson is undraftable at QB.

How does his workout compare to Matt Jones from back in the day? Seems like back when NFL GMs had some sense theyd be converting Richardson to WR.

He’s also done some pretty special things on the field. His arm is insane and he has ripped off a ton of 40+ yard TD runs in only one full season starting.

It’s got Panthers written all over it 🤣🤣🤣

Better than Matt Jones. Legitimately might be the greatest combine performance in NFL history.

Richardson also has an elite arm, which Jones never had. Plus the NFL game is different these days. Running QBs are no longer a rare curiosity.

Mike Vick went #1 overall being 4 inches shorter, 40 pounds lighter, and with basically the same measurables and college stats.

Wrong. Not better than Matt Jones.

Jones was over 6'6'' 242lbs and ran 4.38

Richardson is two inches shorter, and ran a 4.43.

Jones matched Richardson's 10 yard split of 1.53

Jones had a 39.5'' vert. Richardson had 40.5

Jones had 123'' BJ. Richardson had 129.

Richardson is slightly better at jumping, which doesnt really help a QB.

Richardson did not do any agility drills. Jones had a 4.20 20 yard shuttle.

Matt Jones was a better college QB. Richardson needs to change positions.

Wentz doesn’t have near the physical tools, and he had double the number of pass attempts to develop.
