Disappointing, but understandable.

If we lose Wilson just to bring in Patricia, that’s certainly a choice for locker room chemistry.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Players popped champagne in the locker room when he was fired. Slay STILL doesn’t like him and said so just at media night before the SB. His attitude and demeanor is a direct contrast to everything Sirianni preaches and even Howie looks for in a coach. There’s just no way I can be convinced he brings something as a LB coach that’s worth putting up with everything else.

And the screaming about neglect has to do with the assets invested in the position. It’s not like they are pumping a first round pick like Reagor or a 2nd like JJAW and not seeing results.

Head coach and position coach are very different things. Clearly he was a galactic dbag as a head coach. A position coach is not tasked to set the culture of the team. They just have to be aligned with it. You win the point but worse things could happen.

A "pain tolerance test”?

What did they do stab him in the ankle?

something about that sounds… like it’ll be outlawed in the next CBA.

Wright looks like an easy mover

Strange feeling that Paris Johnson Jr. will be the pick at 10

Cody Mauch is another interesting prospect for OG.

We are talking about using the #30 pick. Kolb went #36 overall. By taking a QB 6 spots earlier we would have the QB cost controlled for an extra year. McNabb started in Philadelphia for 3 more years after drafting Kolb and then played another 2 years. So, no, McNabb was not at the end of his career when we drafted Kolb.

We signed Vick with McNabb AND the #36 overall pick Kevin Kolb on the roster. And we took a huge risk and publicity hit to do it. If that doesn’t show you how much we value QB then I don’t know what else will.

Young was 1 year removed from the pro bowl when he signed in Philly. In 2010 he had a 98 QB rating but was sidelined mid season with a knee injury. This idea that he was washed up when we signed him just isn’t true. He was still young and the trajectory in his play was up since he was reinstated as the Titans starter in 2009.

Hurts was taken #53 overall in 2020. Wentz had started all 16 regular season games during the 2019 season with career highs in competitions, attempts, and yards. So, no, it wasn’t because of injury. Maybe some locker room issues, but Wentz was coming off the healthiest season in his career. Yes, he got knocked out of the playoffs, but that was a helmet to helmet hit, not anything that put his ability to start consistently into question.

I’ll say it again: if Richardson, or any other high potential QB, is available at #30 we are either getting a godfather offer or taking the guy ourselves.

Howie explicitly mentioned wentz injury history when asked about drafting hurts.

Head to head injuries are pretty serious ex. Steve Young, Tua etc...

McNabb was age 31 in 2007 when Kolb was drafted, he wasn't drafted to be McNabb's backup he was drafted to eventually replace him. Hurts is what 24?

Again the market for Vick wasnt that big, picking a guy up off the scrap heap isnt the same as using a 1st round pick.

Vince young if anyone had thought that highly of him he wouldn't have signed relatively cheap with the eagles. He was signing a prove it deal, he proved he sucked.

Plenty of options out there for backup QB that dont require using a 1st round pick.

I'm not saying Howie and eagles don't value QB I'm saying 1st round picks are premium resources that teams dont use to draft backups.

I think you are wildly overrating this QB class and especially Richardson.

Waste of resources to draft Richardson in the 1st round unless one is planning on replacing hurts which why would you???

I was fine talking about Richardson being a 1st round QB now you're digging your heels in saying if he's there at 30 the eagles will draft him or any other high profile qb is bordering  insanity or you're just trolling me.🤷‍♂️

DJ said he feels Skoronski best fit is at guard and has potential to be a dominating all pro one.

That’s not a surprise at all. Teams won’t like his frame at tackle. Maybe he can make it work, but there’s a reason college tackles with his arm length become NFL guards.

Hiring Patricia would be incredibly dumb.

Chill on DTs too. We draft enough of them in the early rounds.

Could Darnell Wright make it to 30? Can he play guard until Johnson retires?

Stoutland running the drills will only help the Eagles find the guy he wants.

I don't think he makes it to 30. DJ has him going at 15 to the Steelers. I'd just keep him at guard then when we have a better idea of when Lane wants to hang em up then draft another tackle.

Juice Scruggs looked good

Darnell Wright is nailing it

They talked to Mike Adams who was with Bears under Desai. He or Dk promotion seem likely.  Bigger issue is personnel

Because we absolutely would. If any of the top 4 QBs are there at 30 (obviously they won’t be) we will take them if we can’t work out a trade. Guaranteed. We value QB over every other position, by a lot.

EDIT:

I’d also add that Hurts is likely to have injury issues of his own during his second contract given how often he runs. Plan B is going to be important.

I think Clayton Tune could go rd 2 , he tested just like he plays

Would you take a zack martin at 10?

i would

I get why they didn’t run it but this is pretty funny

With hindsight, of course. I have no recollection of what I thought of him as a prospect. A guard at 10 is a hard sell, but if he has all-pro potential then I can get on board with Skoronski.

Folks…

The ultimate factual conversation with Richardson is this. How many QBs have prospered in the NFL after leaving the College game with a completion rate of 54% or lower?

By all means, athleticism will make him a dual threat, but even so.

He can make a bad team competitive…probably. But thats about it
