Titans trade Henry and draft Bijan? I had a feeling last night about that and suddenly reports they're shopping him today.

That's funny because I was looking at this last night as well. At pick 11 I would think he will be there and Henry is going to start slowing down. Would they keep both for the first year?

I didn't see a tool to compare full classes.  You can compare players, e.g. - the player comparisons seem to indicate that this class may not be worse from a RAS perspective than last year's class.

This is why I'm never scared of the Cowboys. Imagine doing that to one of your players. At least the Giants were trying to trade Bradberry.

It doesn't say they are doing that though, just a twitter user suggesting it.

Cowboys love Zeke, if anything they are going tontry to find a way to keep him.

Yeah I was looking at the draft order last night. I see Titans at 11. Patriots(maybe) at 14. Bucs at 19. Don't see a ton of obvious fits for him in the top 20.

The Giants had no trade partners and absolutely screwed Bradberry.  It worked out for the Eagles.  I don't think Zeke will have many suitors if they cut him.  He's JAG.

I’d move on from Henry now tbh. If they trade/cut him pre June 1st  they save 6 mil and eat 10 in dead money. But as a post June it’s 5 mil dead and 11 mil cap savings. Henry was still good last year but i really don’t see teams giving up significant compensation to deal for Henry in a good rb draft and decent rb FA class. The position he plays and the money he’s making even for how great of a player he is just isn’t worth it. Henry is likely better than all of them right now but he has a ton of miles on him. Had 349 rushing attempts and 33 receptions. That’s 382 total touches. At some point he’s gonna start breaking down. He’s 29 years old.

In general on the titans I go into the year with willis and see what he is. If he’s awful then I’m gonna be close to picking high enough to get Caleb Williams. If he’s good then I’m set.

Titans fans: First aj brown. Now Derrick Henry. Our pets heads are falling off.

I’m not saying we should do it, but Dhenry’s final year of his deal is 2023 at 10m$ salary.

We trade a 3 for him, extend him to shrink that number, get 2 decent years out of him…

He would be absolutely sick splitting time with Gainwell. Just imagine our 4th quarters when we’re up by 15.

I'm waiting for TEN to cut Tannehill - which might be kind of a tell.

Right move for him to go to the NFC.  This hurts us on our Saints owned 2nd round pick for next year.

Carr is in the conversation for top 5 QBs in the NFC now, with the assumption that Rodgers will not be returning to the Packers.

1. Hurts

2. Dak

3. Stafford??? I think he could be washed at this point.

Top 15 pick.

RAS compare - Bijan Robinson v Miles Sanders
very similar,  Bijan is a bit better across the board, but they're very similar.
Sanders is a little smaller and a little slower, and a little worse jumps.  I don't see bench or 3 cone or shuttle for Bijan.

https://ras.football/ras-compare/?&p1=20006&p2=19063&pos=RB

I don't see freakish numbers like Barkley (4.40 at 233) or outlier numbers like Derrick Henry (247 pounds)  Bijan has excellent numbers across the board, but they're not jaw dropping.

Gainwell could take the Sanders role.   And then the Eagles need 2 more backs.  Maybe a super fast one?

DEVON ACHANE | RB | TEXAS A&M | 2023
HAND SIZE     8.2         6.84u     ARM LENGTH     29

COMPOSITE SPEED GRADE : ELITE
40 YD DASH     4.32     9.97
20 YD SPLIT     2.55u     9.52
10 YD SPLIT     1.51     9.69

He can't do everything like Bijan can.  He's small,  but that 4.32 is very fast.  9.97 RAS for a RB and the 1.51 10 split.   He also returned 2 kicks for TDs in college.  So, kick returner upgrade.  He could learn to run routes acceptably well.  4.32 would stretch the field.  Faster than Watkins.  But he's a running back.  He should be able to do jet sweeps well.  If you want to dial up a fast outside run,  a 4.32 running back should be able to get that done.

DEVON ACHANE vs Tyreek Hill RAS
Hill is better.  Achane only has data for one jump,  and it wasn't anywhere near as good as Hills, and all of Hills numbers were great,  Hill has a much higher RAS.

But, when you look at height, weight and speed, they're very close.  Hill is 3 pounds lighter and 3/8 shorter.  40 time - Hill 4.29 Achane 4.32.  10 split - Hill 1.50 Achane 1.51.  Achane is slower but it's close.  To this point, they're a very close match.  And then, there's a 33 vert for Achane compared to Hill's 40.5.  So, they're not the same, but size and speed, nearly identical.

KEATON MITCHELL v Achane

   https://ras.football/ras-compare/?&p1=23226&p2=16027&pos=RB

so what is his 10 split?  NFL.com has it as 1.48,  RAS has it as 1.53.   1.48 is a freakbeast number.

Strengths

Led the FBS with 54 runs of 10-plus yards in 2022, per PFF.

Pure speed to eliminate pursuit angles and strike with long touchdowns.

Acceleration is instantaneous.

Able to cut and burst in a single motion.

Uses wiggle to beat tacklers or buy himself time.

Rides tight to blocker when slipping through interior creases.

Challenging matchup for linebackers as a receiver.

It's not the worst move the Saints could have made. They probably can win a division title or two in the next 4 years, and maybe win a playoff game, but that's pretty much their ceiling. They aren't winning a Championship.

It would be a waste of resources. The Eagles will be able to kill the clock with a decent RB they draft with a 3rd round pick and can save $9.2 million dollars.

Van Ness is a very good pick.  I am not thrilled with Gibbs at pick 30.  I would think you could spend pick 97 on a RB and get a possible OT or DT at 30.  Banks and Campbell in the 2nd round would be magnificent and I will probably cry if  that happens.  You get 8 out of 10 Howies.

Carr loses games, Taysom Hill wins games.  The Saints might want to trade Taysom Hill maybe? Carr seems to get threatened if there's anybody around who is about as good as him.

And Winston is more likely to be available for the same reason, perhaps to Monken in Baltimore.  Monken was the OC for Winston in Tampa Bay.  If Lamar goes, I would expect QBs like Winston, Mayfield, Bennett to come in.

The NFC South is going to be a bad division.  They probably have the best QB situation in that division with this signing.  I think it makes them a wild card contender.

Taysom Hill stinks.  The Saints ceased to be a serious contender once they started sitting Brees down to have that clown take his reps away.

What did Stafford do while he was on the Lions? Carr has played fairly well on pretty bad teams in Oakland.  He's certainly an upgrade over Winston/Hill and Dalton.

I'm looking at that Saints 2nd round pick as a potential trade piece for a veteran.  Not quite an AJ Brown l level player but maybe a young, proven veteran CB or DL.
