Yeah I was looking at the draft order last night. I see Titans at 11. Patriots(maybe) at 14. Bucs at 19. Don't see a ton of obvious fits for him in the top 20.

I could definitely see the Falcons taking Robinson at #8 to complement Pitts and London in their offense.  The Falcons never draft who I tell them to draft, though.

Hope Hargrave gets 20M. Means a 3rd round comp pick in 2024.

9 out of 10 Howies.

The NFC South is going to be a bad division.  They probably have the best QB situation in that division with this signing.  I think it makes them a wild card contender.

where is Lamar in this scenario?  many think he's going to the NFC South.

The second contact absolutely is relevant. When you draft a player in round 1, it’s not just about that 5-year deal. It’s the five years + early negotiating for an extension. We all know it’s a replaceable position. How many teams are happy with the value they get on a second contract from an RB?

It is literally just about the 5 year deal. They are two separate contracts and there is no guarantee you will even want to negotiate a second deal regardless of position.

I want to keep Hargrave but 20M is steep. Sheesh

Saints were one of the possibilities but that's not happening anymore. There is still the Panthers

I think Rodgers goes to the Jets or stays with Packers. Dolphins would have been a great destination for him if Tua was leaving

I heard the Niners need QBs 🤡

Falcons have waaaaaay too many holes to be taking a RB at 8.

If anything they're a prime candidate to trade back.  They just have to sell a more reasonable price tag to move up than what someone like Seattle or Detroit might want.

Yeah Rodgers to the Jets seems inevitable.  If they really let him slide and bring in Jimmy G,   He's done in GB though.

Honestly forgot about those crybabies

Zach really tries, but some of these are disingenuous.

I wouldn't put it past the Falcons.  I don't know if they're sold on Desmond Riddler.  Riddler and pick 8 are a good starting point to getting Lamar Jackson.  I think he would appeal to their fanbase too and I mean nothing negative about that. Their entire rebrand has been geared towards the ubran demographic.  Bringing in a young star African American QB would make ticket and jersey sales go through the roof.

From a football standpoint, having Pitts and London running a scramble drill with Jackson would be a cheat code.

What did Stafford do while he was on the Lions? Carr has played fairly well on pretty bad teams in Oakland.  He's certainly an upgrade over Winston/Hill and Dalton.

I’d argue that carr was phenomenal with the raiders given the situation(s) he’s dealt with since being drafted.

Taysom Hill stinks.  The Saints ceased to be a serious contender once they started sitting Brees down to have that clown take his reps away.

the saints win in his starts.  he has a 7-2 record as a starter.  64.5 completion percent.  88.7 passer rating.   5.5 yards per carry.  23 rushing tds.

Carr has a losing record in the NFL.  at least we don't have to debate about Carr now.

At your mom's? What am I nostradamus?

No, I am not making any predictions on Lamar.  As I understand it, the Ravens may use a non-exclusive tag on him.  I don't see a team giving up 2 firsts for him but who knows.

Carr sucks,  but Mark Davis loves him,  so they fire the hc over and over, and gms,  but somehow, Carr stays.  now, he's on the Saints.

It’s almost like reading just your last few posts that you don’t understand football.

Someone will probably be dumb enough. Regret it and be in purgatory for 7 years. Lamar is a non factor anywhere he goes.

Lamar on the Falcons would be interesting.  Michael Vick.  Ravens or Falcons, then Panthers, but I like what Lamar has to work with. Troy Andersen.

This is true.  The Falcons, however, had a porous defense when they decided to pass on Micah Parsons as well.

I know others are against keeping Hargrave, but a couple things. It's all about the years and contract structure. Don't put too much into basic numbers like "20m per year."

But also, I know Howie has been preaching "We don't draft for need anymore" but everyone drafts for need. If the BPA at 10 was QB or WR, the Eagles would not take them.

They're obsessed with drafting DL and if Hargrave goes, you know they're going to be locked in on DT in round 1, and short of Carter falling to 10, there's not a lot of stud DTs in this class. Which trading down for a lesser player at DT or taking one at 10 instead of going OL or CB scares the hell out of me. If Hargrave stays, won't have to worry about them screwing that up this year and just going best available defensive player at 10.

I know there are realities in a salary cap league when you're paying (or about to pay) a QB, but damn I'm already tired of hearing about Fing comp picks.
