Didn’t the Eagles and Kelce specifically that Kelce helped choose his successor at C when they drafted Jergens?

It got blown out of proportion for clicks. Eagles have had Kelce watch some guys coming out over the last few years and he liked Jurgens as well as other guys. Kelce didn't single out and appoint Jurgens as THE guy to replace him.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

I take it Kelce hasn't said whether he's coming back yet?

Sanders moves up the food chain for FA RB's.

Hargrave at 20M/Y, when he's 30 years old, is the move bad teams do OR good teams with QBs on rookie deals do. We're in neither spot, so it's an easy decision to pass.

When the Bears overpay for him, you'll feel better.

100%. Whomever gives a 30 year old Hargrave a multi-year deal at 20 million per will be regretting it in a year or two. No chance the Eagles will be that team and they shouldn't be.

correct

This surprises me since during the season there was all sorts of talk about how Jacob's was not in the Riaders and Josh McDaniels future plans.

I think there's a good chance he ends up with Duce in Carolina.  Thomas Brown also comes from a RB coach background. I think he's also a fit for what Reich wants to do.

He hasn't yet but he's not going out like that. He still has some good football left in the tank. I'd be surprised if he hangs them up.

Saints were one of the possibilities but that's not happening anymore. There is still the Panthers

I think Rodgers goes to the Jets or stays with Packers. Dolphins would have been a great destination for him if Tua was leaving

Why not Lamaar to Atlanta, they way more need  QB than rb and so do Pitts and London

Issue with Lamar is you have to give him a megadeal asap. So because of that I believe any team that goes after him expects to compete sooner than later. Atlanta has a developing QB AND a top 10 pick this year if they want a better one; plus not a lot of talent. they may consider they won’t get much ROI out of Lamar before his contract starts hitting the books really hard

Also consider Atlanta was the team that outright refused Watson’s guarantee demands, which is what led to him signing with Cleveland

I'm sure this has been mentioned but how much would the Eagles save if they did trade Slay? His cap hit is 26M this year but dead cap is 21M. Does that mean they would only save 5M if he was traded?

Lamar is very likely to never be a guy to win a SB, but I do not want him with the Commies.

He will win them a F ton of regular season games and give our defense fits.

Until he's injured again

Agreed but he could end up just wanting to go out on top like others

Yeah Washington and NYJ are the two big "Qb away” rosters. Maybe Miami too, depending on what you expect out of Tua. Going .500 with their QB carousel and smacking around both Philly and Dallas was somewhat impressive. Lamar makes them much more threatening than what NYG was in 2022

Why not Lamar to the Bears?

Aren't they sticking with Fields?

Howie, DO NOT F THIS UP!

Take him at 10. Come what may.

Yes. Cut or trade would have the same affect.

Anyone have the Athletic that can cut and paste the article?

Trading for Henry is an endgame move. It would mean Howie isn't taking a step back in 2023 to reload for the future, it would mean he wants to make another all-in run.

Yup.  I guess they mutually thought Kelce wasn't coming back, or at worse, would let Jurgens play RG for a year and learn more under Kelce.

Makes sense to me, definitely lean more playing RG than sitting on the bench
