His hands got worse, too.

Overrated player by a lot of people in this fan base.

My bigger issue with Miles Sanders besides paying him the money that it’s gonna cost to bring him back is I don’t think he’s gonna stay as healthy moving forward. This was the only year where he stayed healthy. In a contract year. Otherwise he’s had nagging injuries were hes missed games. I don’t think that gets better for him as he gets older.

This running back draft class is good and there’s even some guys in free agency that I think you could get much cheaper and be  effectiveness in this offense. To be honest I  want us to get a veteran running back. one that is a good pass protector and can catch. We haven’t had one in a while that could do both at a good level. I actually think it would be beneficial to the offense

If I’m Green Bay I try to get 2 first round picks and I’ll take moore in the deal too. If love is just awful then I’m likely in position to be able to get Caleb Williams next year. I’d love is good then i have my guy for the future. If he’s just so-so i still have 2 firsts in 2024 draft to play with and can potentially move up for a Qb i like then

In fairness it shouldn’t. Geno could revert back to being a bum next year or isn’t capable of giving them the play at Wb to grt them to the next level. Or there’s a chance if there’s a Qb at 5 they love that they aren’t picking that high next year or a guy they love that much the next couple years.

Heard this being discussed on NFL Radio last night.  They were saying Smith's deal being 3 years makes it much easier to draft a QB this year.  They figure Drew Lock is likely gone to Tampa Bay to continue working with their new OC Canales.

Love carved up the Eagles defense, so he's at least above average. The issue with getting great value in trading Rodgers is how much longer is he going to commit to playing in the NFL? He's 40 right now, is he going to play until 45 like Brady, and is a 5 year stint worth 2 first round picks? I think Green Bay will struggle getting 2 firsts, but the Jets also have a great defense and if they have a good QB have a pretty good window to get to the Super Bowl.

I think the compensation is going to be an interesting angle. All the talk out of the combine is the Packers are sick of Rodgers and don't want him back but they don't want to necessarily be the ones to actively cut ties. If that's true they might not try to milk Jets in fear of them walking away.

Tbh that is one of the things that’ll work against the Packers.  dumb to let that out if the building that they were sick of him. Should’ve kept it close to the vest and saying we are allowing Aaron make a decision and going from there.  I still think the Packers will ask for that simply because of knowing the jet want him and the Jets actually needing him otherwise they’ll have to either draft another Qb or you are looking at guys like mariota or wentz in FA as carr is gone. Jimmy G is possible but he’s gonna have a bunch of suitors in FA. Saw Texans and panthers to mention two known. (Seen some random raiders rumors too). I also wouldn’t rule out the raiders finding their way back into this situation to increase the ante. Whether it’s legit interest or not that’s another story.

The Jets are kind of in a bad spot because there’s not another quarterback on the FA market besides Jimmy G since carr signed. Unless they’re going to go and trade for Lamar Jackson. they really have no other alternatives because in free agency the 3 best quarterbacks are probably Jimmy G, Carson Wentz and Marcus Mariota. Jimmy g is fine but been a lot of teams connected to him and putting a lot of eggs in the basket hoping you get him over other places when FA starts.

So if they miss on rodgers and Jimmy G then you’re gonna have to go to the draft. Which they  already did in getting Wilson. do you really want to risk having another bust of a first round pick? Who is likely not gonna be ready for how good your defense and the weapons are around him to get you to the playoffs. To Me rodgers or Jimmy G are their plays and if Jimmy G signs elsewhere it’s rodgers or draft. Helps the packers at that point get more.

IMO The deal is basically done. They’re not sending their front office across the country to Rodgers’ house and spend the week convincing him, only to find out GB’s asking price is too high and it was all a waste of time. They likely already agreed to terms and are just making sure Aaron’s head is in the right place

Tend to believe the packers get a 1st in this deal. The second pick is likely some sort of pick dependent on his level of play and jets success. Could see it being like a 3rd that easily can become a second that has also the chance to become a first if the jets and rodgers reach certain team/player goals

The fuzzy part is if GB is adhering to the highest bidder or if they’re just unloading his cap issues.

On the one hand, I could see multiple firsts if LV and Miami and Tennessee were in on it… but on the other it may have been just whatever team Aaron agreed not to retire for, and GB gets what they get.

Ravens will trade Lamar to Atlanta and get Riddler along with Pick 8 and others.  The QBs will go and they will find a way to get Will Anderson.  Then they take Hooker in the middle rounds to back up Huntley until his knee is ready.

Nice little twist in this lol

I really highly doubt rodgers gets traded for less than market value. If we got what we did for Carson and there was not that great of a market i tend to think a Qb hungry team like the jets are gonna pay to get the best option available to them. The Jets have been searching for a quarterback for years, and they also have the burden of not making the playoffs in a decade. I completely see the Jets willing to pay market value and maybe slightly overpay to get Aaron Rodgers, considering the other options they have available to them. Only other viable option is Jimmy G who’s been linked with Carolina, Texans and raiders as well. So now you are in a bidding war for jimmy g

One thing someone rumormongered was Jets would give up more if GB ate cap. So it very well could be 2 1sts with GB taking a surprising cap hit for it

I don't think there's a market for Rodgers outside of the Jets.  McDaniels has apparently already ruled out the Raiders acquiring him, if the Titans have to unload Henry there's no way they're burdening themselves with a Rodgers headache (seeing as they have no WR talent, Rodgers won't sign off on that deal), I think SF sticks with Lance/Purdy and MIA are not good at keeping secrets -- if they were in on Rodgers everyone would know it by now.

The return for Rodgers would be the Jets first round pick, and I doubt much more.

That I could see. Frankly, the Packers have to assume they’re not gonna be a Super Bowl contender this year. It’s more about seeing what Jordan love is to know what they’re gonna do in 2024. The extra first allows for GB to have optionality in 2024 if love isn’t the guy by having 2 firsts.

I think the Jets are in a real **** spot if they don’t get Aaron Rodgers. if they don’t, now you’re in a bidding war for Jimmy G and he has multiple suitors. If you don’t get Jimmy G, who the heck is your quarterback next year? The only other guy out there that anywhere close to giving you the chance you need is Lamar Jackson. And you’re probably gonna be over paying in compensation (and his contract) to get Lamar Jackson as I’m guessing that market has more suitors than the rodgers market. Frankly, if I were the Jets, I would’ve been on the phone with Green Bay then with Aaron Rodgers a week after the season ended. had everything put in place at that point in time if he wanted to come to the Jets and the Packers are willing to move on. If they don’t get rodgers i think they could be in a world of trouble at Qb.
