We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Agreed.  We may win a lot of games by being the 2023 version of the Greatest Show on Turf.  Not only may … should.

We should be the best team in the NFC even if the defense takes a step back.  The expectation for the offense to get a bit better.  And then maybe the defense has less of a horrific final game.

We will never get that many high comps

be lucky to get a three and four, if that

Why?  The formula is very straightforward.  Here is a Comp Pick Offset chart put together by over the cap.com. I chose Washington in 2019 because they qualified for more than 4 picks by losing 6 UFA players and signing one.

And below that is their Comp Pick History chart, which shows lots of instances of 4 picks in a year and quite a few where the team qualified for more than 4 but only got the maximum of 4 (the ones highlighted in yellow)

I’d have some interest.

I guess Kyle Hamilton isn’t too bad after all for the crowd that says he sucks

Well he couldn't play the post last year, so....

Not opposed to double dipping at CB in the first (Witherspoon and Forbes?) - then trading or releasing Slay to save $17M of cap.

I don’t know how anyone could rank Addison over Njigba. People forget how good Njigba is. He’s an absolute stud. He just was hurt this past year. Some team is going to get a steal with him.

Given the choice I'd take Addison over Njigba for sure.  Njigba only offers production out of the slot.  Addison can be lined up anywhere; looks to me like he excels out wide or from the slot.  Hard to tell which player runs better routes, but my perception is Addison.

Yeah, I would hate losing Slay, but seems like it would be the right thing to do business-wise.

But that money could have been given to CJGJ, so I guess Slay is staying.

Just FYI…after you complete your draft, right above the player groupings is "copy” or "download.” Just click the copy button then come here and click reply then click in the text field and choose "paste.”

Doesn’t seem to work on an iPad … or at least I can’t find the saved files.  Help finding those files would be very much appreciated.

What do people think of Julius Brents as a safety conversion?

Someone with that size and corner skills sure would be great against the athletic freaks playing TE these days.

Like him too, but like Toast Jenkins I have been looking at him as a Corner.

If Dickerson keeps missing games/snaps due to injury, that would be a very bad move.

Started all 17 this year? What are you talking about? Guy moves people and is hella aggressive.

It only saves just under $5M, unless you mean Post June 1st.

Plus another leader gone. The juice isn’t worth the squeeze. If we lose Slay too, who is the leader? Reddick? That’s about it.

The best move with Slay IMO is not extending/restructuring/trade him, but letting him play out his deal.

Wonder if Cowboys pursue him. They want another WR.

Chances of the number and value of comp picks we get being disappointing and less than everyone expects if all the FA’s walk:

precisely 100%

Never bank on comp picks.

Starting two rookie CBs, that's a bold move Cotton.  Is Zech McPherson OK to stopgap - we had good injury luck on the outside last year, so kind of a mystery...

Unfortunately, I don't know if that's a real possibility. He's 1 of only 2 guys that can actually be worked to open up cap. They could do it, but it's going to be a really boring offseason then.

2 rookies corners in a new scheme and coaches. What could possibly go wrong.

20 years ago was the last time the Eagles used a first round pick on a CB.  Expecting the Eagles to draft two in the first round next month is ..... something

Okay.  Here’s a scenario to ponder.  At pick 30 the Board has broken so that the two clear BPAs are two WRs Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Zay Flowers.  Howie tries hard, but no team is willing to trade for the pick.  So, in that scenario do you pick (a) Smith-Njigba or (b) Flowers or (c) a clearly lesser quality player at a position of need?

The premise of choices (a) and (b) is making the Offense even better and bludgeoning the opponents to a loss even when the Defense is weak.

With Forbes' low weight - he might slip a bit, but even with the Lito/Sheldon double-dip.. neither started right away (and the Gannon coaching regime seemed to resist pushing rookies onto the field - not sure if Desai has a different mentality...).
