We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Bears are banking on Fields taking that Hurts leap. Moore, Mooney and Claypool is a pretty good trio of WR's.

Broderick Jones is my guess.

Carter?

I think panthers go Stroud at 1.

I could see it. Reich has always worked with big QB's his whole career.

They have a ton of cap space too. Could go out & sign Seumalo, maybe another OL or two, then grab the T from Tennessee or Georgia or Ohio state. That offense suddenly looks way better.

Them going Richardson would guarantee all 4 QBs go before us

It is possible that one injury could have changed his ability to succeed regardless of his personality. A serious brain injury can permanently impair a person's ability to process simultaneous multi-modal input. Whether the multiple sources of information are from the same or different systems (visual, audio, etc.). Wentz has come to make so many "what was he thinking" plays, that it is quite possible he can no longer think/process on the level that playing QB requires.

Making excuses. Wentz seemed reluctant to accept coaching.  He is a poster child for intangibles we really don’t have access to scouting.  Post Covid, I am excited for Stout to do some scouting of his own because he seems to get what to look for in teachable players.  It is why so many Day 1 and 2 players never pan out and why so many Day 3 and UDFAs have long careers in the NFL.  Real value in talking with the coaches and even other players.  Hurts, as a coach’s kid, takes coaching whereas Wentz, as an anointed athlete, did not.

I'm not buying the Richardson hype. And certainly not #1 overall.

I don’t think he goes #1, but I think he could go top 10 still. We likely see Stroud/Young with first two picks, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Indy make a trade with Arizona now for a guy like Levis. A team is going to fall in love with Richardson athletic traits. Raiders and Atlanta need a QB still. Could see Tennessee moving up, maybe Washington. Detroit could do it.

I think we see 4 go in the top 10, just unsure the order

Smart trade for the the bears.

This time last year pundits were talking Malik Willis in the top 10; he went in the 3rd round.

Richardson should be back half of the first round, around where Lamar Jackson went at #32.  That said, I figured ARI could draft Kyler Murray at #33 instead of #1, too.

I agree. I never liked Wentz for these exact reasons and really like Hurts for those you cited. However, there could be other factors in Wentz's dramatic decline as a player other than his arrogant and entitled demeanor that likely makes him unteachable. Watching him player after the Seattle playoff game, I don't think his brain functions as well as before that injury. That's totally conjecture.

He does… but he’s also likely to get you 5+ INTs a season.

Great, great hands

That’s an awesome trade for the bears. Get DJ moore, 9th overall pick, 61st, 2024 first and a 2025 second . If fields is actually good they have a ton of assets and ability to build that roster up

Panthers being the team to jump ahead is great for us also, we’ll definitely see 3 QB go in the top 10 now.

Still would have at 9.

dont love the trade for them but they didnt get raped and they must have identified their guy. So go get him

Feel like the Panthers slapped the Bears around a bit with this trade.  Dropping all the way to #9 and not getting more than just one future 1st round pick?  Seems like they sold for pretty cheap.  Good for Frank Reich to not have to deal with stop gap QBs anymore and he can finally work with a young QB to mold.

my best guess for top 9
Panthers - Stroud

Texans - Young

Colts (trade with ARI) - Levis

Cardinals - Tyree Wilson

Seahawks - Anderson Jr

Lions - Gonzalez

Raiders - Richardson

Falcons - Jalen Carter

Bears - Darnell Wright

Unsure what Eagles do here, I suppose Witherspoon. Maybe LVN

Matt, you are wasting your time.

Hopefully I’m not wasting your time.  Your point is a good one.  I can be a bit tenacious at times.

It's more than what the Eagles had to give up to get Wentz.

Out of the "top 4” that would be my pick. I feel like Reich likes the size, the accuracy, and the pocket presence.

Yeah but Eagles went from 8 to 2, not 9 to 1.  Maybe it's not that bad of a deal for them especially since they got DJ Moore who I like.  I just wouldn't like dropping that far if I were a Bears fan unless multiple first round picks were being obtained.

I feel like the Eagles got better value in their trade with the Saints last year than the Bears just got with their trade down from #1 to the Panthers today.

We made two trades to get there, remember
