Will be interesting to see if Hurts can develop and beat good teams with his arm

Yup, the number one question facing the Eagles this coming season is "Can Jalen Hurts develop?"

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Wouldnt call that a blockbuster trade. Reporters so over react.

Rams ongoing fire sale is more appropriate.

Is Ramsey holding out for a raise yet?

Dodged a bullet there.

2023 3rd and TE Hunter Long

Guess we'd only get a 5th for Slay

Slay isn't going to get traded. Not enough cap relief to justify the very low return it'll get. They will end up restructuring at some point.

If im correct they would designate the trade as a post june 1st deal which would save them about 17 mill this year.

Let’s say that Slay really is demanding a trade.

A team I’d be discussing things with is the Lions. They desperately need a CB and have the cap space. Moving up from 10 to 6 could be an option. The Lions are in win now mode.

I listened to Pat Kirwan talking about his view toward free agency, saying he only looks at players 28 and under who played 80% of his team’s snaps.  Using that criteria he said the only positions with real choices this year are safety and linebacker.

Agree.  I've pointed out the numerous attractive options at those positions a few times already.

Even if that is true, it means they couldn't use the relief until after June, which would make it relatively useless.

There are a lot of fire sales about to happen.

A lot of cap cuts. Not a lot of teams with tons of cap room to spend which means a lot of these cap cuts will be taking low contracts this year. We could end up with a solid team with the cap hurting league. These massive contracts esp the QB contracts are going to kill the league.

Maybe this sets a model around what a Slay trade could look like.

I doubt it.  Most people still think Ramsey is a top 3 CB in the league.

Most people think Slays play tailed off in the 2nd half of the season.

On Ramsey, they're very wrong. On Skay, most people got confused when Scott made him look bad on numerous occasions. Slay was fine.   But it's undeniable that Slay didn't rant come up with any big plays of his own.

based on the majority off opinion,  I don't think both players will be valued the same.

I think Ramsey will be a blockbuster trade and he will be paid a ton.  He's still only like 28.

Slay is 32.

OK, so Ramsey was a name we knew was getting shopped around.  How many where did that come from trades do we think will happen?

Hmm, how do you qualify? Like Davante Adams was pretty surprising overall, but we had 3-4 days notice before he went to LV that he was looking to move on. Does that count or is that an expected one?

I tend to agree with bo wulf and Berman, i actually think two guys that make a ton of sense are Byron Murphy and Zach Allen. Both are young with upside. Living out here in Arizona I unfortunately get to watch a lot of Cardinals games. Byron Murphy is the type of young corner you want to spend on in free agency because I think it’s better days of football are ahead of them and he’s making jumos every year. I’m surprised the Cardinals didn’t try to get that done before free agency. I’d say Allen is less likely because he’s gonna get overpaid in this market but he’s another guy I really like. I think Murphy gets a nice deal but less than what i think Allen commands

Not a lot, which probably speaks volumes.

Oh.  Well, looks like the NFL is ahead of the fans on this one.  Ramsey stinks.

What would Donald fetch? I think he received pro bowl again but shouldn't have. He actually had a down year compared to his competition

Unless we traded him for someone else we’d use the savings on, or waited to extend Jalen until then so his signing bonus correlates with the cap savings

I think that’s just a fan perspective of how the team did, and reflecting that on the players. PFF gave him an excellent rating on the year, he made the pro bowl while logging career highs in interceptions, passes defended, forced fumbles, sacks, and tackles.

Maybe he wasn’t usual first team all pro Jalen ramsey, but he was definitely a top 10 CB on the year

It does not kill the league as much as it kills the non-QB union members by keeping their salaries low by comparison.

RBs get annihilated. See Miles Sanders with 2 or 3 teams out of 32 interested in him.

No way should Tannehill (36m) make more than King Henry (16m) but the QBs and agents have made it that way.

CJGJ is going to be wishing he was a QB this week.

Howie is going to ace this by losing lots of compensatory free agents and signing a bunch of cuts that don't count in the formula.

I would not be surprised it he trades from 10 to 14 or so and gets more picks as well.

Winner winner, chicken dinner. My first overall A+ this year.

Stud CB, Donald-lite, bendiest EDGE in the class, slot/KR/PR extraordinaire, bell cow, solid G prospect, and a nice backup to groom…see ya Book.

3 immediate starters, 2 big rotational pieces, and 2 developmental guys.

Not much. He makes too much and he is a diva who has already played the retirement card. He's also 32 and what he did until 30 was unicorn.

Slay alone isn't getting you to 6 though.

Slay is not demanding a trade. Howie wants to manipulate his cap number and it can only be done by some kind of extension.

I think the talking to other teams is to get some realism on his value.

Looks awesome all the way until Stetson Bennett. That dude is the least likable Qb prospect in quite some time

Just like Diggs making the pro bowl and leading the league in INTs 2 years ago.  But getting toasted all over the field.

Ramsey is a human highlight reel for opposing WRs. Gives up big plays constantly.

PFF has always been worthless for player grades.

Doesnt matter, we dont need to move up to 6 so is a dumb suggested trade anyways.
