I’d say wait and see. There’s going to be some more heavy hitters still that are going to build on 2024 dead money.

Slay, for example, has $12M dead at the end of his deal and that’s if they just let him play out the year as is. If they restructure or do something with his contract, dead money is only going to go up.

Yeah. I hope the worst of it is now over and it's a more manageable percentage of the cap that it allows those coming extensions can be done.  if they redo Lane's deal again, then it won't go away soon

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Cox is also going to be like $8M in dead cap in 2024.

It should be better, but it’s not going to be perfect.

Yeah it’s why i don’t want them to really mess around too much and hurt themselves in 2024. Rather have more flexibility then. I tend to think a young free agent like Murphy and Allen make sense as they are both 25 and can set their contract up where it’s significantly hurting your cap this year and the money is in the middle of the contract when you have more flexibility (i think Berman discussed it on their pod)

I’d prefer to take a corner at 10, resign CJ and BPA #30

But what do I know

Something on the cap position for next year

Is Point #3 in the Roob's article as pathetic as it sounds?

It is. This team can't draft LBs, S or outside CBs to save its life.  At some point, they will need to do it, and do it well

I tend to believe either 10 or 30 they aren’t going to draft at that spot. I tend to think they get good value at 10 to move back 3-5 spots. And 30 i could see them moving up or back from. If a guy falls they have a high grade on at 30 i could see a slight trade up. Or back if a Qb falls (or another position) and a team wants that 5th year option

Yup, the number one question facing the Eagles this coming season is "Can Jalen Hurts develop?"

Wasn’t that the number one question at this point last year?

They are going to have to redo Lane. Don’t see any way around that one.

I expect we’re going to see more one year deals this year with void years on the end too.

Will deals be announced tomorrow or Wednesday? I forget every year how this works. I feel like it changes each year too.

I also tend to believe they’re going to have an answer on Jason Kelce before free agency starts. I can’t imagine them and him letting it  lead into that.

Tank Dell is an alternative to Flowers - hands catcher, punt return experience, did well at the Senior Bowl (Eagles MO) and likely available in the 3rd.

But his slow 40 isn’t what E45 is looking for… Dell is more quick than fast.

I thought tomorrow but dudes can still back out ala Gore

Announced tomorrow but not official until Wednesday

Not for the offense.

Pretty sure it goes on the scoreboard.

Thinking this year we can’t afford to redshirt our draft picks.  Need immediate impact starters.  I think Jack Campbell is one of most pro ready players.  Having him next to Dean would give us 2 very high IQ LB’s

At some point meaning as soon as they sign Hurts to a mega contract.  Howie won't be able to buy free agents to cover his bad drafting.

There’s the floor for TJ Edwards

Bradberry gone if they haven't offered terms.

Jimmy Kempski projected Edwards or Epps back at 1 year 3.5 million. I can't remember which

I almost fell out of my chair. Maybe the rest of the NFL doesn't value Edwards or Epps, but if the Eagles can get him back for that, awesome. But I've been saying I'll be pissed if they re-sign Edwards for 7-8 million and Epps for 6-7 million. I think each will get closer to those numbers. Combined, letting both leave they could easily keep one of their big 3 with that $ if that's the rate for them.

The situation is more fluid that a porn threesome.

4.49 is slow these days…

Wouldnt call that a blockbuster trade. Reporters so over react.
