I suspect that TEW’s point is that Hurts produced a net of 28 points.

Well, that’s it, fellas. Almost 20 years. This is where I draw the line. I can’t even begin to explain how ridiculous this is. I bid thee farewell. Maybe I’ll come say hi if we ever win another championship.

Taking on balloon mortgages was one of the major contributing factors to the severity of the Housing Bubble crash.  The financial wherewithal of the home buyers was not sufficient to justify the purchase with a conventional mortgage.  Then they had to give up the house when the balloon mortgage payment came due.  The same pattern happens in these NFL contracts.  When the player and the team part company, the void years balloon comes due and gets accelerated into the current year. The current Eagles Dead Cap amount clearly destabilizes the Normal functioning of the GM.  He is given a budget by the NFL, but that budget amount has to be reduced by the accelerated ballon mortgage amounts.  It creates a boom and bust landscape.

Banks gave mortgages to buyers that had absolutely no chance of being able to afford it over the long term. This isn't comparable at all.

Void years have been a tool teams have used for the last 10+ years. It isn't something new and its specifically outlined in the CBA, so at the absolute earliest it could be removed would be 2030. The cap continues to rise, which makes the future debt worth less and less. Teams are basically inflating their way out of the debt (cap hits). There has only been one instance where the cap did not go up, and that was under circumstances no GM would ever prepare for, and would not prepare for again.

As long as the yearly dead cap is within the average of other teams, it isn't putting the team in a competitive disadvantage. If you have close to zero dead cap, or very little, it shows the team isn't taking risks. The Eagles took a risk on several key contributors and got to the Super Bowl with them, they unfortunately were not successful.

Eagles have a high dead cap for 2023, but are looking good for the next few years.

He could.  Jerome Brown was a big kid but knew how to get nasty on the field.

Graham is goofy too, but he turns it on in game. It's a violent sport and D-linemen is a particularly violent position. Need to have that edge when the ball is live.

What if he is just has a goofy personality, who gives a F. Not everyone is Kobe and must kill their opponent

I'm just saying what was reported. It seems like him not being "mature" was a hinderance to his play. He can be goofy I don't care either just be a beast on the field.

I'm not a big fan of taking other people's RB's...but damn, he would be amazing in this offense. Likely too high a price to pay though.

Wasn't he their main RB?

Didn't think TJ Edwards would be the first free agent to sign with another team.

It says "star." Edwards certainly is no Alex Singleton, but star? Good luck TJ.

Good. The one player i didn't want back

So, so, so happy we're done with TJ Edwards. He did everything right, but he just didn't have the athleticism

He may be the best dual-threat RB in the NFL.

Too slow bye

I agree, but is Howie capable or even willing to upgrade him???

Yea, no thanks to that

Well, Nakobe Dean is right there.

I liked TJ probably more than most, but I’m excited to see what we have with Dean. Best of luck to TJ, just not against us of course

Edwards was everything you wanted until the opposing OC was smart enough to realize he can't run. Which inexplicably didn't happen as often as it should have...

6.5 mil per year? I honestly thought Howie would've done that. I was thinking 8 mil per
