Wasn't he their main RB?

The Chargers window is about to be slammed shut with the Herbert contract. They have 4 players that will have $30+mm cap hits next year, and this is Ekelers last year of his contract. Chargers won't be able to extend him.

KEEP THE COMP PICKS COMING CHICAGO

I wouldn’t have paid Edwards, but that’s not really a bad contract at all. I assumed more since it was the first FA announced to change teams.

6.5 mil per year? I honestly thought Howie would've done that. I was thinking 8 mil per

Whats funny is that Spotrac market value had him at $12.5 lol

TJ Edwards getting all those tackles behind the best DL in the NFL. Jacked his stats.

Good for Edwards, even getting a second contract as an UDFA.  Best of luck.

More than a few of our previous front office/scouting department are spread out to numerous teams now so we can get picked apart.

I would put his over under at $10 million a year.

Close to what i was gonna put it at. I was gonna go 11.5.

I'm guessing this was discussed here, too.  Thielen would have to take a very team friendly deal.  We'd be stacked at receiver.

Interesting timing on that quote considering right after that he was given permission to seek a trade.

I liked TJ probably more than most, but I’m excited to see what we have with Dean. Best of luck to TJ, just not against us of course

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't have much confidence in Dean at all. Small and average speed.

Well, that’s it, fellas. Almost 20 years. This is where I draw the line. I can’t even begin to explain how ridiculous this is. I bid thee farewell. Maybe I’ll come say hi if we ever win another championship.

Why is it that you, and a number of others can't handle anything negative said about Hurts?

Nobody here wants him traded away; it's just an interesting discussion as to what you would do if an unprecedented offer were to come around.

Factually, he did net at 28 points in the SB. He still had a great performance in the game, but his fumble and subsequent return for a TD was a major factor in the final outcome. You're gonna quit the board because somebody pointed that out? Good riddance.

That being said, I fully expect somebody to report me for this post as being abusive to other posters, and I'll be banned and no longer here either. So there's that.

The Bears could pursue Hargrave too.

And they're pursuing Seumalo.

Ugh, I don't want the teams before us taking the top two corners and/or Nolan Smith. I am hoping they'd be all in on the offensive tackles.

Agreed.   He did an interview during the season and one of his responses was he was just happy to be on the team and learning from veterans. I know not everyone has that dog in them but I’d like to see him realize he can be a bully.

You can be happy to be on the team, and learning from the vets, but there has to be a switch to be turned on that changes the mentality.  While on the field, you can't be happy just to be there.

Brandon Graham is a great guy, and very congenial off the field in every interaction I've ever seen him have with folks.  On the field, he's a different guy.  Same goes for BDawk.  There needs to be a little bit of nasty in there that can be drawn on, especially in the trenches.

I need to see more out of Dean. But I hope the plan isn't to re-sign White to play with Dean. We are going to have the tiniest starting LB's.

I suspect that TEW’s point is that Hurts produced a net of 28 points.

I’m sorry, before I go, Im give one last little explaination of why this is not even in the same realm is reasonable. The conversation is, "is it possible for Jalen, in the future, to beat Pat Mahomes In a SuperBowl with talent around him.” It’s a hypothetical.

Y’all’s clown show contention, is that "well, he didn’t so he never can. We should trade him.”

Our offense put up 35 points, and the defense didn’t show up in this particular Super Bowl against Mahomes.

And you clowns are basically saying "since Jalen lost to Mahomes in one supebowl, clearly he can’t win one against him because that sample size? Wtf does that even mean. Mahomes lost to Burrow three times before beating him. Just because something happened once doesn’t make it the only reality. I can’t believe I even have say this. And now "tew’s point is that he netted 28 because of a fumble” in one game.

You guys aren’t this stupid, you’re trying to act smarter than everyone else. You’re digging your heels in on a hypothetical because you’re clowns. This place sucks now. I can’t believe this is even a discussion. And I want to be clear, this isn’t because "trade Jalen”. It’s the context in which people moving goalposts like a woman losing an argument. Have at it.

In a vacuum that seems to be a good deal and something Howie might've done... just not a Day 1 priority in our current cap situation.

That's a borderline bargain deal for Edwards. I would have done that and brought him back. I'm not going to flip out about it since I think he is a liability in coverage but that's a pretty fair price for a really good two down MLB.

No interest there, he's an outside receiver who lost a step.

Howie is 1 for 1 in good decisions.

I’d be content with us signing Azeez Al-shaair  He’s 25 and he’s been the backup to the two great linebackers the niners have but stepped in when they got hurt and looked good. However i could see him making more than they want to pay. I kind of see the eagles getting a veteran linebacker in the second wave and drafting one in the 3-5th rounds
