It's not

You don’t believe there will be an NFL team that will choose to recycle the QB position every 5 years, even with fully guaranteed contracts just around the corner?  I sure do

I mean, god forbid we have a discussion, on a….checks notes…discussion board

Taking on balloon mortgages was one of the major contributing factors to the severity of the Housing Bubble crash.  The financial wherewithal of the home buyers was not sufficient to justify the purchase with a conventional mortgage.  Then they had to give up the house when the balloon mortgage payment came due.  The same pattern happens in these NFL contracts.  When the player and the team part company, the void years balloon comes due and gets accelerated into the current year. The current Eagles Dead Cap amount clearly destabilizes the Normal functioning of the GM.  He is given a budget by the NFL, but that budget amount has to be reduced by the accelerated ballon mortgage amounts.  It creates a boom and bust landscape.

I am thinking you didnt read Howie's explanation of why/how he uses the dead cap to his advantage?

What youre explaining above isnt really how its working.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't have much confidence in Dean at all. Small and average speed.

I did see some flashes but it could very well be he's not starting or higher end starting material. But for Howie he might not care considering the dreck we usually have out there. We better hope he's good because he's getting one of the spots I'd bet.

This should absolutely be true for the Carrs, Cousins, Goffs, and Joneses of the world.

Not true for someone like Hurts.

itll never happen, but man if they had Austin Ekeler in this offeense, wow. I don’t know how you would be able to cover AJ, Brown, Devonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, and Austin Ekeler. Nightmare matchups all over the field in the pass game.

Where are these teams that think Epps was good according to BGN?  Come on, don’t let me down!

Well he said that players that play on Super Bowl teams get a better reputation than is maybe deserved by teams.  I think there's truth in that but it doesn't mean other teams will sign him.

Kelce's reaction to Howie hugging him

Sign CGJ and really turn this mother up!

This is the one caveat that comes with Kelce back. It's absolutely worth it, but it's going to be one of our "big" signings for FA. And more dead money in 2024.

3 of the core four already back, and FA hasn’t begun yet. Still a chance Cox doesn’t get many big offers and pulls a BG

I don't know what changed but Twitter now shows the same tweet when someone you follow retweets, even when you're following the original twitter account. It's so annoying, I keep thinking someone tweeted and deleted because they had a typo or something.

It's like everyone posting the same Gannon tweet in here, but for everything.

What Gannon tweet?

Who are your core 4?

Our offense would be a nightmare for any defense. I think Gibbs brings some of that to the table as well though, at a much cheaper cost.

More void years?

Sure, but he's one of the greatest players in team history, arguably the best player at his position, a team captain and doesn't count against the comp pick. It's a no-brainer.

He was a 20m dead cap if released before June1, or more likely a June 1 designate at 8m$ on the 2023 cap. Initial guess is Howie gives him 15m$ signing bonus, making it only an additional 3m$ cap hit this year, adding up to 11m$ and then June 1st-ing him next year

During the SB buildup it was What the media was calling our 4 lineman we’ve had on all 6 playoff runs since 2013

Ded monies $4 eva~!!!!!!!!!!!!

Getting Kelce and Graham back is huge not only for what they do on the field but off of it as well.

McLane loves to be dramatic. He'd be a great TMZ reporter.

I figured but I’m confused who the 3/4 are. Kelce, Graham, ?

Unless you just meant in general, FA or not
