We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

We'll see if you are singing the same tune if the pass rush falls off and the Niners surpass the Eagles next season.

This was a huge lose. Massive. Hargrave was a major key to their pass rush and he just went to a top NFC team.

 Relax, Chicken Littles. They still don't have a damn QB, and the worst gameday coach in the NFL. All they did was take an A dline and made it an A+. And that's assuming Hargrave performs as well as he did here, AFTER getting a massive deal. My god, I love this board for quick updates but some of the hot takes turds on here are ridiculous.

Cam Sutton signs with lions . 11 mil per

That is huge for us. They were linked to a corner in the top 10, but probably not now.

lions 3 year deal

HUGE for us. That probably keeps them from going CB at 6.

Could see them going Bijan now.

good signing there. One of my CB targets if we need one.

At 6? Not a chance. 18? Sure.

I’d rather have Hurts than Purdy and Hargrave 🤣🤣

Nobody had a problem paying Wentz in fact it was celebrated must be the elephant in the room

Okudah and Sutton are a nice outside duo. They really have no need.

Any chance the Lions still go CB in round 1 and trade Okudah?

Both Gonzalez and Witherspoon might be there at 10

How is it that they have $54 million in dead cap? Is it because of the "dummy" years added to a lot of the contracts that essentially kicks the can down the road?

bigly

Should take a pass rusher at 6. I’d probably trade back at 18 or if safety branch is there take him. That defense needs way more help than the offense.

Yup, agreed. Unless they trade Okudah.

Maybe they go QB or d-line

100%. If Tyree Wilson is there, I could definitely see him as the pick. He's raw, but him and Hutchinson could be deadly.

I’d trade back from 10 to 13-15 if someone is willing to move up. I think there’s value from 10-22 in this draft where you get some extra picks and still a good player that’s close to being ranked the same.

Transition year.

The defense is gonna get poached of too much talent.

Eagles dont have $$ to throw around.

Yep. Could still go up too.

There's pretty much no correlation between the issues causing the housing crash and dead money being structured into the NFL contracts. Unless if we think that they're going to decrease revenue YoY and the cap never increases. The NFLPA is also never going to agree to it because it will mean a decrease to the APY of the contracts. The only way to maybe change it is if all contracts are fully guaranteed.

The Eagles will spend over $50 million lees this year than they would if the void years did not exist.  It is a zero sum game.  No money is magically produced.  When you borrow from the future you have to eventually pay the money back.  The AAVs of the new contracts being made with void years now are higher, but the AAVs of future contracts in the years where the void year money is accelerated into the current cap will be lower.

You are correct there is no direct link between the balloon mortgages and the void year NFL balloon amounts.  They are different marketplaces, but money is money and the impacts on their respective marketplaces is similar enough to be a lesson that can be learned.

I may even trade back twice, to 13 then again to like 18
