Easy the titans have no clue what they are doing and trying to tank for Caleb Williams

One thing that contract says is that the Eagles really must have valued him if a team was willing to give that contract out in FA. Surely they got legit trade offers for him.

The Pats wanted him too? I thought he’d be a decent flyer, but he’s getting legit money. It’ll be interesting how the contract is structured.

Wonder if the Eagles will surprise us tomorrow with a FA signing out of left field...

I guessing the patriots wanted him for a way lesser contract thinking that belichick could get him playing at a high level and he’d be cheap for a year or two

His son hit my daughter at daycare a week ago. Gonna have to find a new team to cheer for if he re-signs.

Did she get the first down at least?

Was a penalty. Vandervelde’s son got a 15 min timeout and fined a juice box and animal crackers

Brett Toth again

You can't spell Toth without OT.

Hargrave had a terrific 2022 season and was a big piece of the defense.  With that being said, you have to be happy the Eagles didn't give him a contract like that.  Sucks to see him go to a loaded 49ers DL but in 2 years when he's 32 and has a cap hit of $26 million, the Eagles will be better set up to extend Dickerson, Smith, Mailata and so on.  We all knew this was going to be a slow FA period, and it hasn't even begun yet.

We should be happy that Howie is learning from past mistakes.  How many of us were done with Fletcher Cox years ago but they were locked in with his contract?  Same thing with Hargrave.  I find it hard to believe that at 30 years old he's going to continue ascending as a player.

Patience is needed as always.  Good news is, the RB group hasn't budged after day 1 so the Eagles should be able to bring a vet in.  Same with WR3 if they decide to go FA to upgrade over Watkins.

Seeing players leave sucks, but it's just the nature of the NFL.

those are my trade down targets for selecting Deonte Banks the Maryland CB, who seems to consistently go in picks #23 or #24 in Mocks

then trade #30 down to about #35 for Emmanuel Forbes

And what do the Eagles get for trading back 12+ spots?  It has to be impactful THIS year, next year they already have 12 picks!

Mocks are rarely right outside the top 5. With the Lions picking up Sutton, the chances of them going CB at 6 drop exponentially. At 10, we may very well have our choice between Gonzalez and Witherspoon. Pick one, trade out of 30 to a team looking for a 5th year option on a player and recoup some day 2/3 picks. No need to get cute.
