The Jets signing worse players than they have to appease Rodgers is pathetic desperation. If I were a Jets fan I’d be nauseous. I so want Rodgers to turn them down now, they’d deserve it for being so damn weak.

Oh no, Epps wasn't invisible.  Therein lies the problem.  Almost every disastrous play the Eagles defense gave up that made me say "Who the F screwed that up?!?" It was Epps, Epps, and Epps again.

-- getting burnt by Aaron Jones (a RB) on a corner-post to the middle of the field in the end zone for a long TD.  Epps

-- getting torched by Christian Watson on a simple slant that went for a 60+ yard TD.  Both Eagles safeties were running in mud trying to "chase" him.  Epps

-- getting hurdled by CMC (who was nursing a hip injury) to turn a one yard gain into a 23-yard TD run.  Epps

-- looking like the kid in a father/son outing trying to cover Travis Kelce in the Super Bowl.  Man vs boy.  Epps.

 

Epps was/is garbage.

Every time there is a stacked RB class the Eagles stay away from it for some reason.  The only RB they've ever drafted when it was a loaded class was Pumphrey. 

Our big additions have been two RBs when we already have a pretty good one behind center.

I think Penny’s injury history will be a reason they draft a RB.

Penny is a beast but he is never healthy. Not a fan of this move. Hopefully it's only a one year deal worth no more than 3 million. I don't think bringing him in and bringing back Scott means they won't draft a RB, but I doubt they will before round 3 at this point.

To me he always looked like he was a step behind on making a play in coverage. Like he was there but not enough to make a play.

I think many would agree with that, but not necessarily Howie.  He may be rolling the dice hoping his bad luck is behind him.
