I would have let Bradberry walk. He's not going to age well. Still, I get paying for competence and that's a below market rate. He took a discount to stay.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

That's pretty cheap, actually. Sweet. Now let's lock up CJGJ, extend Hurts and look to the draft outside of bargain bin signings.

Good deal

With only $3M in cap savings if they trade Slay this year prior to June 1st I feel like they will just keep him on the final year of his deal.  Can't see Slay holding out.

If the Eagles can keep both their DBs, letting all the other guys walk is worth it.

Now it's Slay watch. If Slay stays, you can pretty much pencil in DL to Howie in round 1(again).

We are SB contenders

Lol just yesterday you called me a drama queen for saying Hargrave to the team you played in the NFCCG was a big loss, and now one day later you hop on the worry train.

‘And for the record, the only loss I care about as of right now is Hargrave. I think everyone else is wholly replaceable.

If CGJ and Bradberry leave then yes it’ll be a big problem.

Hello apple, my name is orange. You were whining about losing ONE player who got crazy money at 30 years old. They have lost two more starters on defense since then, in addition to Edwards, and still haven't brought back CJGJ or Bradberry. A little bit different. Not to mention I said something like "not good" as opposed to your pre-teen female drama comparable, ''totally embarrassing'' comment.  Beat it cockroach.

CGJ has to be less than Bradberry... Right?

Like how do you know he won’t age well? Not saying he won’t but how would we know?

Not sure how I feel about this though. I don't think he's a true #1 and he's kinda old as well.

Yeah, I was fine letting him walk. Corners can fall off a cliff quickly. Will be interesting to see the real details.

They did the same thing with Holyfield. I don't think there is necessarily a plan other than they wanted him to have a full offseason here.

Feels like a wasted roster spot last year

I'd love going into next season with Bradberry, Maddox and Slay as the corners with CJGJ and Blankenship at safety.  That will keep this team as a contending defense at the very least to go along with our offense.

Depending on Slay, picking a CB is no longer the most obvious use of pick #10.

Crazy that the one big time free agent everyone thought was gone for sure ends up coming back, with Bradberry. Solid deal. I thought for sure he would get 15-17 million per year but for whatever reason the CB market never really developed the way it has in the past. I'm guessing Slay will be traded at this point.

I was concerned and upset about losing their best free agent. As any fan would be. Especially to a top NFC contender. Your dishonest representation of my take is noted. As is your hypocrisy.

Bonus is that this opens up the draft a lot at #10 if Slay stays for the year too.

Doubt he gets traded. Cap savings are minimal.

That’s a good deal for the eagles. Makes it so they don’t have to go corner in the first but can if they want too or talent is there. Add on you likely are having an out of this deal after 2 years when he’s 32. I got to believe bradberry and CJGJ weren’t getting what they thought on the market.

Still think its the top priority, at least somewhere in the first. Two 30+ CB's with one likely gone after next season and zero depth behind them.

I feel the same about it. This doesnt change anything as far as they still need to draft a mid round RB.

Unless they really think Sermon has potential. I’m hoping they just want to give him the off-season and see if he surprises.

Bradberry is back bud. Was announced before your post.

Disagree. The young guys behind our two older guys are not future studs. Still would take Gonzalez or Witherspoon if they’re there, unless a Jalen Carter or Tyree Wilson are still hanging around surprisingly.

If Jalen Carter or Wilson aren't there, I think CB should still be the pick considering the age of our CBs. That said, starting to feel like a Howie trade down situation if a stud DL isn't there.

Hard to say - top 5 safeties were getting 16-18 mil per last year.  It may be getting close to saying that teams are not considering him as a top safety since he is still unsigned.
