So Slay's agent asked Dallas if they would trade for him?

Well, it’s a slippery slope when a team asks a captain to clear some cap space so they can sign some guys.

If Jalen Carter or Wilson aren't there, I think CB should still be the pick considering the age of our CBs. That said, starting to feel like a Howie trade down situation if a stud DL isn't there.

If CGJ isn't back. I could see them taking Branch with a trade back. He is a similar style player who can be penciled into a starting spot day 1

I’m no cap expert but I don’t see how they can possibly fit Kelce, Graham, Bradberry, CJGJ, other small FA signed so far, draft picks, and still have money left for mid season moves - even with Lane/Slay restructures.

The heck is this? This could have just been an internal conversation at Dallas.

Because of dead money on Kelce, Graham, and Bradberry deals, we actually push back a good bit into later years that would have all hit tomorrow at 4. So they’ll still reduce our cap space, but it won’t be as bad as the contract #’s indicate

We are SB contenders

Its alot for a player his age. He got his payday thats fine.

but i still draft a top corner at 10

Thats why you never worry about it.

If Anthony Richardson is still available at 10, we might get a nice offer from Tampa at 19… which would be a good spot to take branch and get some bonus assets on day 2

Evergreen post.

I hope Gardner-Johnson doesnt string us along too much longer. Theres a bunch of solid signings to be had out there but we cant watch them all get picked up.

One guy I havent mentioned since Ive been focused on starters- If we just need depth, Id like Geno Stone.

This is today’s "reporting.” Just be first. Doesn’t matter if it’s accurate or not.

 I will bet you my avatar for the rest of the year that they aren’t taking a Safety R1.

I stopped trying to figure out how anyone fits anything. The Saints and Rams for years fit whatever they wanted under the cap. I stopped questioning it.

I'm not saying they will, I'm saying Branch is a very comparable player if they want someone like CGJ.

Crazy that Dillard was in the same area code as this deal.

Honestly how this new DC's defense looks and plays like is the most intriguing thing entering this upcoming season.

I think he's going to Cincy.  They'll sign Adderly or someone else for less. Doubt they leave it to the draft tho

Disagree strawberries are mid. Pineapples and blackberries are definitely better.

Blackberries are always iffy, it's about 80/20 they'll be bitter.

Peaches are where it's at.

Millions of peaches Peaches for me...

The Philadelphia Eagles have added a running back with upside to the backfield.

Philly has agreed to terms with running back Rashaad Penny on a one-year deal with a $1.35 million base salary, $600,000 guaranteed and a max value of $2.1 million, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported, per a source informed of the pact.

Dirt cheap.

Uhhhhh, is this for real!?!
