The problem was the rye overseed and timing. Once it started getting cooler and sun going down, rye grass is slick.

Realllllly ineresting insight from Patrick Peterson who played there for years.

If the Eagles promote Dennard Wilson to DC I wouldn't be opposed at all to bringing in Jim Leonhard to be the defensive backs coach.  I hear really good things quite often, and he's only 40.

Jim Leonard was DC for a BIG10 school and interim HC for a hot minute.  I would love to see him and think he has a bright future.  Not sure he would want to go from Power 5 DC to NFL position coach however.  I would think he comes in as a DC at the NFL level.

Looks like we're going back to the Super Bowl.

We need AJ Brown to drop the truth bomb now--they lost mostly because Gannon **** his pants.  Tweet it, AJ

That interview was given before the Super Bowl?

So this was basically public knowledge beforehand and reports are that Sirianni knew about it and had informed the players a week earlier.

Couldn't even make it through this article.  F Gannon, Im so glad hes gone now. Talk about an all time f'ing turd.  Unreal.

Yup I almost stopped reading half way through but powered through it, Gannon definitely a gutless turd, night as well stayed at home, you have two weeks to prepare and that what you come out with okay soft as goose poop the whole effin game.

Only reason the defense held up 1st half was because KC was on the bench most the 1st half

CBt expect your defense to be have the offense control the ball for 60 minutes....😒

I think he's looking more for a payday than anything else. Not sure Howie is willing to give a top of the line S contract out. I'd bet Eagles have interest in signing him but it all depends on what he gets offered.

Also it's likely his agent and Howie discussed what a potential contract would look like. It could be his agent advising him he can get better elsewhere.

We’ll see.  The one thing he has going for him is he’s only 25 and won’t be 26 until the end of next season.  - Meaning he could still be playing at a very high level by the end of a 5 year contract.

At his age, I have a feeling they will give him a solid offer to stay.  I’d be shocked if they didn’t, tbh.

Something else for us to complain about.

This is why I have a problem with the damn refs deciding the game.  They pretty much let them play the whole game and this tug is what they chose to call to hand the Chiefs the game??  At the same time, Sweat is getting illegal hands to face right there and that is missed 🤦‍♂️

Not sure what the exact quote was but apparently Mahomes said that the Chiefs had figured out what Gannon was doing by halftime and basically just came out in the 2nd half and successfully countered it.

I guess it’s like they say, "better to go out on top”.   SMH.  lol

In all seriousness, both teams played on the same turf.  One team was ready and/or adjusted accordingly.   The other team didn’t.

Wrong.  The pass rushing technique of the Eagles edge players is significantly different than the Chiefs edge players.

My gut feeling immediately after the game and even the day after was pretty spot on.  We basically got outcoached in the 2nd half.

It wasn't until yesterday and today - after reading a myriad of posts, meme's etc that all these other ideas came to mind.

I'll stick with my gut on this one - no conspiracies - we were outcoached in the 2nd half - plain and simple.

Charbonnett is nice, has always looked a little Demarco Murray-ish to me though. Runs upright.

Spears just pops off the screen though. Dude is quick as hell and will be nasty as a pass catcher in the NFL. Reminds me of Alvin Kamara.

Just watch both back to back and see the difference.

Kendre Miller is another good option

Sirianni and apparently everyone else knew the field conditions were going to be slippery (AT LEAST) ONE WEEK PRIOR TO THE GAME.  Sirianni had already informed his players.

So if that's the case, do you not make adjustments to your defensive strategy, with the knowledge that your "speed pass rush", will likely be affected, because of field conditions?

I think there's just a lot of odd things with the whole deal. When Howie trades for someone they have long term plans for, he usually signs them ASAP. Also given how cheap it was to acquire a young, talented player leads me to believe all parties were operating under the assumption it could very well be a one year rental.

Now, I think he will try to retain him and give him a fair offer. What I would guess happened is before the trade went down CJGJ and or his agent made it clear they wish to test the market at the end of the year. Otherwise it just doesn't make sense why the Saints would give him away for basically nothing.

I just realized Nick Foles is still in the building. Players are going to be so confused whose coach and whose Foles.

Fair enough, very well could be the case.

This kid I think is going to be a steal.  Good sized at around 225 with not a lot of wear and tear.

He and Charbonnet have a lot in common. Both run more upright than we might like, but both are powerful when running north/south
