I don't think the Eagles could actually sign Bradberry with Slay's cap hit. I don't know that it frees money for anyone else.

It’s gotta be CB at 10. The way FA has played out we may have our choice of all the CBs

Yeah but i don’t think Gilmore got a new deal. He just was traded to Dallas. If slay just wanted out and not a new contract i think teams would’ve given you a 6th

So is Slay just not going to be signed by anyone and be out of the league?  Because whoever signs him now will be giving him a new deal.

 

Makes no sense at all from the Eagles perspective to not at least get some sort of late round pick in a trade for him.

Slay looked close to hitting that cliff at the tail end of last season; he's not one of the top CBs anymore.  Paying Bradberry $38-44M sealed Slay's fate.

It's the right move.

Not gonna lie, I'm going to miss slay, and i think they team will too. He seems to be a pretty good team mate and senior captain.
