16 tackles, 3 sacks last year. Compare that to Calijah Kancey at 18 and 7, Karl Brooks at 30 and 10, etc. I'm not saying they're necessarily better than him, but when you factor in his off the field issues, and crappy pro day it makes me look elsewhere later in the draft.

For Carter, with all the attention on him, to show up out of shape at his pro day is the last straw for me. This was his chance to save his draft stock, change the narrative and remind people why he was thought of as a potential top pick. Instead, this shows a complete lack of maturity again. Maybe he was just scared when he drove away, reacting in the moment. This was done purposefully with full forethought. He clearly lacks the required levels of maturity, drive and discipline to be a pro.

I'd take him off my draft board. He had a great opportunity, and squandered it.

If Zeke were willing to sign a team friendly deal I wouldn't mind having him here.

Having him run behind the best line in football and with the ability to split carries with a lot of other fast guys?  Hell yeah I'd do that.

Never. Though a great man once said, just because you’re paranoid, doesn’t mean they’re not after you

Another great man once said. You know, there are only two types of liars. A man that says he’s never jerked off and a man that says he’s gonna quit tomorrow.

We're not getting a Salvation Army bucket!

Thoughts on Garrett Williams in the 3rd, or is the FO still regretting drafting an injured Sydney Jones?

IMO he was never a top 10 prospect anyway; I just didn't see why he was being pushed at the top of the draft board.  It makes the rest of his bad decisions comical for me.

Any way you slice it, he's gonna be the DAL pick.

Jalen Carter has bust written all over him.  It's been a while since I've seen someone's draft stock plummet so far so fast.  I thought after the arrest he'd fall to at least 10-20.  Showing up overweight and looking very out of shape during position drills?  He may have just fallen out of the first round.

I think that's a bit much to garner from what is going on with him.  He did something stupid and dangerous which contributed to the death of 2 people.  He is dealing with it in a way that it is impacting his preparation for the draft.  Busts tend to have a longer history of being locker room problems or just more frequent run ins with the law.  Walter Football is the only source that puts more credence on the off the field concerns.  They indicate scouts have described him as not loving football and not a hard worker.  I think if a team was worried about those issues before the January incident, they would consider taking him off of their board in the first round.  I also think teams will look at his play and ignore the concerns.  Lack of work ethic is a big concern when you also look at the problems with impulse control.  Nick Fairley had some of the same issues and ultimately washed out of the League in 5 seasons.  He did have a few good seasons.  Warren Sapp failed a drug test at the combine after it being a frequent problem at Miami and is a HOF player.  One difference might have been where they ended up and how that environment impacted their development.

I'd always heard two types are those that do and those that lie about it...

Happy Zeke is no longer in Dallas, dude killed us so many times.

Carter will end up a Steeler or Raven and probably dominate

As mediocre as Dak is, I feel the same way about him. Only 3 wins against him and one of those I believe was the meaningless game to end the 2016 season.

in fairness Dak has a couple of those against us like 2017 the last game of the year and last game of 2021

He’s got cowboy written all over him

I like slay but i think he’s vastly overrating his value on the market. I’d be surprised if he got 3 years guaranteed. I’m guessing he gets something similar to what bradberry got where it’s basically a 2 year deal.

Good we get to play JuJu this year.  Shame it is in NE, would have liked to have the fans lay into him.

We need that top corner at 10 regardless, safe and smart move.

If Lane restructures, will we have room before June 1st for Kelce, Bradberry, Graham, the 3 cheap guys, and CJ?

Logical release or not, I’m feeling much worse today than I did yesterday. Yesterday I was like we lost Hargrave, but we least we have the elite CB tandem back. Now today: nope.

If the Eagles keep CJGJ then since Slay essentially replace Bradberry, it’s the equivalent of still losing 3 of your top 4 free agents.

Howie has managed to work magic before but there’s not exactly top notch corners growing on trees. Will a rookie be starting next year? Or will Howie still add a veteran somewhere and work the rookie corner in slowly.
