I see this argument a lot, but a lot of those were clean-up sacks that probably should have went to someone else.

Yep. Hargrave drew more attention. Now it’s back on Cox.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Still doubt it'll happen, but we'll see.

I’m guessing the $10 mil is not actually 10 mil against the cap next year. I’m guessing it’s more reasonable then that thanks to voidable years

No chance that he has a $10M cap hit, but even if there’s one or two void years it’s still $10M of cap space. The DT market is outrageous this year.

You have to pay for premium if you want me to rate anymore of your drafts.  Also, I can't do math or read but Bergeron doesn't seem like some uber athlete and I think he played more LG at the Senior Bowl:

I am not sure he would be a good enough prospect as just a potential OT.

Shouldn't we be comparing Lane Johnson's RAS with potential backup QBs?

Howie is doing a really good job under the circumstances. DE is loaded and hasn't lost a thing. Bringing Cox back means that DT is still good although obviously downgraded overall. Dean will easily replace Edwards and they can find a FA in two or three weeks on the cheap to replace White. The secondary still needs work. I like bringing back Bradberry and letting Slay go as I mentioned it a week ago as an outside the box idea that makes sense due to their ages. They key is to bring back CJGJ or at least sign an adequate replacement like Adderly, Thornhill, or Rapp, and draft a CB at 10. If they do that we will be fine on defense and the offense won't skip a beat.

Gotta trust your young guys I’m Davis and Williams to make a jump. That said i know everyone is saying all in at corner at 10. Wouldn’t be shocked if they trade back a couple spots and take kancey the kid from pitt and get some picks by doing so

Yeah the DT and linebacker market dried up very quickly. I’d be surprised if it’s a cap number higher than $6 this year tbh.

I think there’s a real chance Carter falls outside the first round.

If you think that’s crazy, think about how much GMs value attitude. It’s why they conduct interviews. If he’s showing up loafing on workouts he’s going to drop like a stone. I honestly think he could be there at 30.

And I still wouldn't take him at 30.  How do you show up 9 pounds heavier than 2 weeks ago, get gassed during the drills and look totally uninterested in finishing.  I've never not wanted a prospect as much as I don't want Jalen Carter.

This is how you finish drills.

Very happy with the Cox signing. Another legit leader and enforcer. Howie never goes into the draft with holes. Dt was a major concern.

All the vets coming back gives me a great feeling about the team culture. They all believe they can win the Super Bowl this year.

Sheldon Rankins just got 1-$10.5M so there’s that.

Glaring hole at CB

Cheap.

Andrew Berry is a good GM

Not that this should be at the forefront of Howie’s mind, but re-signing our own players or other teams’ cuts does protect our comp picks.

Jordan Davis is still on the roster. He could make the loss of Hargrave a distant memory if he dominates like he should.

He’s still here already?

That is a super reasonable deal. I'd rather have CJGJ but I feel like the gap isn't that huge where CJGJ should get more than 11-12 million per. I'd be fine with Adderley or Rapp on that Thornhill deal if CJ gets greedy.

Yeah he’s going to be asked to step up. He was actually looking ok before the injury. He obviously wasn’t the same after. I’d be more worried if he is looking lousy in camp. Right now i think he is gonna make a decent jump

Not very good.  But one of the better man's out there.  Hope it's a die of reality for CHJ

Liked thornhill in that draft with JJAW and sanders. Frankly he was ok as a starter. Nothing like what i thought he was going to be

I don’t get this one I really don’t. That’s way too much for Cox given his age. This feels like Howie doing what he did a few years ago.

We are very nicely set up for next years draft

I'm trying to remember but wasn't he not well against the pass? There were concerns in the draft about it and his limited rookie year didn't help
