We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Pretty on point. Really hoping he changes his MO this draft.

You can’t eat your whole bag of skittles so you ask your mom for skittles. She doesn’t have any skittles so you come back and agree to only eat half the bag like originally offered.

👏 Perfect.

Ok this is actually hilarious and the thread that followed it lol

What a crazy turn of events. It's like the Bizarro world version of the Frank Gore "signing." I would imagine this makes it more likely that CJ is back since restructuring Slay should create significant cap space. If Howie gets that done and the only major loss this offseason is Hargrave he should have a statue built for him.

Honestly.

and I’m perfectly fine with losing Hargrave. With Fletch back, we can see if Milton & Davis are good enough to be the starters going forward. If not, you find a new starter at DT in 2024.

Hmm. I’m guessing a paycut on the 17.5m$ salary down to about 12m$, and then that getting restructured into a signing bonus

Had a question if anybody might know the answer.

With how the restructures work and kicking the can in the future, that player is guaranteed that money in the future even if they are on another team or I’m assuming even if they’re retired or just not currently rostered. In this scenario the new team isn’t taking on the entire contract from old team.

So say a player is due $5 million guaranteed in 2025, but is on another team or not rostered etc, would they receive that during the regular season as a "game” check or at start of new league year?

I'm kind of contract dumb but I'm pretty sure the way they're structured, they get the full amount over the agreed contract duration. All the void years are just from structuring for cap purposes and don't affect their earnings.

Voodoo majik is welcome.

Get us a rematch against KC.

They'll win.

We could also draft a player like Kancey, giving us a pass rushing DT to add to the rotation.

Yeah I’m fine with that. We have great flexibility going into this draft. Wonder if that LB from Iowa becomes an option in late 2nd now also

Starting to really want Bijan. We could just control the clock most games with him and Hurts. Also would hopefully lead to Hurts running far less. Obv this can be done with many RBs this draft but Bijan is special. If he somehow makes it to 30 and we pass on him for a swing tackle I would be a tad annoyed.

I do like what we've done so far. Lets not forget these are really good players were bringing back.

Can totally see us trading back in the draft with one of our firsts and doing something "like" this

Wild he's only 25.  I loved him at Auburn.  Such a fun running style.

Base Salary goes to the new team.  Prorated bonuses stay with the original team.  Money guarantees depend on what the original team has already paid to the player, but in most cases the guarantees are satisfied by the already paid base salaries plus the already paid (and prorated) bonuses.  Future year roster bonuses are the new team’s responsibility

Apparently his lack of playing time here is figured into the formula.

This works both ways. It could move up to a 5 if he plays all year.

If the Birds are in the Super Bowl again this season, I will consider the season as a success … win or lose.  Obviously even more of a success if they win.  This was/is supposed to be a year where we take/took a step back from last year.  It is looking more and more like that may not actually happen.

That is my understanding as well.

Very odd on CJGJ. He is presumably a top safety on the market and yet we apparently still at the "interest” stage. Teams have already spent a bulk of their FA money.

He priced himself out

We do need an LB badly. He will be gone by then I suspect

It will truly be through the looking glass if this is the year we draft an LB in the first
