Starting to suspect Hurts told them to take care of all this then they can figure his deal out bc we havent heard a peep on him

Low key speaks to Lurie as well.

Big news: We haven’t changed our mind on CJGJ in the past 12 hours.

I laughed too hard at this lol.

Starting to really want Bijan. We could just control the clock most games with him and Hurts. Also would hopefully lead to Hurts running far less. Obv this can be done with many RBs this draft but Bijan is special. If he somehow makes it to 30 and we pass on him for a swing tackle I would be a tad annoyed.

My biggest problem with Bijan is that he ISN’T special. He has no unique trait or skill set. He’s basically just your standard blue chip RB prospect. He doesn’t have special speed, power, elusiveness, or hands. Special players usually have 2 of these traits.

He’s not a physical freak like AP with crazy speed and power, he’s not Barry Sanders with dizzying moves and breakaway speed, he doesn’t have 4.3 speed and WR hands like Faulk. Bijan is a guy who is a complete player, no denying this, but he doesn’t have a unique skill set. That’s not to hate on him — I think he’ll have a long, productive career. But I’m not spending a high first round pick on a RB who isn’t unique.

If we’re looking at a RB early, my bet and preference is Gibbs at 30. He’s not as complete of a prospect, but he IS special. 4.3 speed, elite open field moves, and elite hands. That’s a combo that is special. And it’s special enough that he can allow the offense to do things that other offenses simply can’t.

I disagree. His field vision is amazing. I can’t remember a RB who finds holes like he does when it doesn’t appear anything is there. He doesn’t just run through pile ups bouncing off blockers and LBers, he’s bolting through a dead end as if he was Moses. His college nickname was Houdini. Decision making is the most important QB ability, and it’s probably the most important RB ability too

He has some Shady in him too, who wasn’t the fastest or strongest. He does have that bounce back cut. He has an awesome stiff arm too.

I'd take either tbh. Starting to now see RB as an attractive option back end of round 1 / round 2 this year.

Disagree with the vision and decision making big time. He needlessly hesitates a LOT behind the line. He’s good once he gets past the DL, but his backfield dancing and indecisiveness will likely be a problem at the NFL level. He’s no Emmitt Smith in this regard. He’ll learn, but to say this is a strength I just can’t agree with — if anything I think he needs improvement when he’s behind his OL.

I don’t see any Shady. Shady was probably the most elusive RB in space since Barry Sanders. Bijan isn’t anywhere close to on that level. He’s elusive for his size, but in absolute terms I can list off a bunch of guys in this draft class that are much more elusive.

Stiff arm, sure, he has good strength. But you aren’t "special” because of a stiff arm.

If the Birds are in the Super Bowl again this season, I will consider the season as a success … win or lose.  Obviously even more of a success if they win.  This was/is supposed to be a year where we take/took a step back from last year.  It is looking more and more like that may not actually happen.

It's Super Bowl win or bust this year. The bar has been set. Another SB loss would be a failure of a season.

I mean, I can understand the argument for Bijan at 30, but for me I don’t see the juice.

Suspect you're trolling, but no it wouldn't, you're expecting way too much.

We've lost some significant starters, both head coaches and all our vets are a year older.

If we don't make the play offs then i'd say its a failure, but not winning a superbowl? Get real.

Slay staying is like making up with your girlfriend after your friends tell you all her flaws.

All of twitter was pointing out Slay's decline in effectiveness last season after it was announced he'd be released.
