Which DT in this years draft fits most into what we're trying to do?  Early in the year we really struggled vs the run so I'm not huge on taking undersized DT's  who might be a little better at getting to the QB since we no longer have Suh or Joseph

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Kancey from Pittsburg

Reports are Cox was offered more by several teams. Could be smoke, or it could be some of us undervalue his current worth.

Normally that's agent talk, but the DT market was crazy so I believe it.

Shouldn't we be comparing Lane Johnson's RAS with potential backup QBs?

You have run stuffers. Davis, Tuipolutu, Ellis. We need a penetrating DT to rotate with Milton. I agree Kancey is perfect for what we want here.

If the Birds are in the Super Bowl again this season, I will consider the season as a success … win or lose.  Obviously even more of a success if they win.  This was/is supposed to be a year where we take/took a step back from last year.  It is looking more and more like that may not actually happen.

I feel the same, mainly because of how weak the NFC is. I get any given Sunday and all that, but this team and San Francisco remain head and shoulders above the rest of the conference. And until San Francisco finds their quarterback, they remain beatable. I want to see him have a similar successful season, but you can make a case that Hurts is the best QB in the conference. And if that remains the case going into next season and he continues to play well, they can beat anyone.

I expect the team to win fewer games due to a harder schedule, which likely costs us the #1 seed. The NFCCG this year will likely be at Levi's Stadium. That could be a problem.

Agree the NFC is Philly & SF.............................everyone else.

The 49ers play the AFC North and NFC East. Jacksonville is their cross-over game. Other than Arizona which is 2 easy wins, they have a hard schedule too without a clear #1 QB.

Dallas is the biggest threat to the Eagles (regular season only).

For some light entertainment, a manager of a football team over here did this

I'd rather just give the players vanilla ice cream and be done with it

I don’t even understand what’s happening. Does England have white prehistoric natives that blew out of conch shells?

He's undersized though.

And we're not taking him at 10 surely? Its not a great draft for DTs

The team was fine defending the run early when Davis was on the field.  Gannon, however, only wanted to us him in the 5 man fronts.  I think having Davis out there in all of the fronts will make run defending easier. Gannon did not want to play rookies.  I am hoping Desai takes the approach that they need to get on the field. Kancey is a unique talent that they shouldn't pass on if he is available at pick 30.  He is 4 pounds lighter than Aaron Donald was coming out of Pitt and about a half inch taller.  His size won't be an issue. He would be fine inside especially next to either Cox or Davis.

If they're set on Kancy i'd trade back from 10 to 15 or so and get more picks. A decent CB like Cam Smith should be around at 30

Feels like being considered a top nfl draft prospect somehow helped out with that deal

49ers have unknowns at QB.  Also an unknown at DC.  Dallas is going to be in the mix as well.

I don't think so. It was only two misdemeanors for reckless driving and racing.

If FL allowed gambling then I'd put money on Eagles making it to the SB again. Whether we win is a different story. NFC is weak

2nd time for reckless driving and 1 included a fatality

Haven't seen enough of Tui or Elliss to want them in my rotation.  Kancey at 10 makes me incredibly nervous

Howie?

Kancey at 30 is a no brainer. But he won't be there.

This. I hate agreeing with you, but no QB and the loss of Demeco Ryans are two huge hurdles.

I think Sean Desai is more of an unknown at DC than Steve Wilks

Its crazy how much Minshew ruined his career with those 2 starts.

Yeah, Wilks definitely isn't an unknown.
