I wouldn’t mind having him back and having him coming out of the slot primarily (the way they used Quez last season)

And use Quez the way he should be used - primarily as a deeper threat 

 

Ok, so doing some thinking now that CB isn't a dire need at 10 (and since the news is slow today)...I'm far more comfortable with a small trade back if offered into the teens. If the board falls like this:

1- Carolina: CJ Stroud, QB

2- Houston: Bryce Young, QB

3- Arizona: Will Anderson, EDGE

4- Indianapolis: Anthony Richardson, QB

5- Seattle: Tyree Wilson, EDGE

6- Detroit: Jalen Carter, DL

7- Las Vegas: Will Levis, QB

8- Atlanta: Christian Gonzalez, CB

9- Chicago: Paris Johnson, OT

10- New England (trade with PHI - Eagles get 14, 46, 117): Devon Witherspoon, CB

11- Tennessee: Peter Skoronski, OT

12- Houston: Quentin Johnson, WR

13- NY Jets: Brian Branch, S

 

That leaves the following reasonable choices at 14 on the board for us:

Broderick Jones, OT

Myles Murphy, EDGE

Lukas Van Ness, EDGE

Nolan Smith, EDGE

Joey Porter, CB

Deonte Banks, CB

Calijah Kancey, DL

Bryan Bresee DL 

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR

 

Who would YOU pick, and do you think the Eagles would pick?

Personally, I'm torn but I'd go Murphy most likely. I think the Eagles would go Jones or Murphy.

Howie, at least the new Howie, has found a way to level with the players he likes. I don't think he'd let negotiations get contentious. Then again CGJ is kind of a loose cannon on social media.

He was a slot specialist who switched positions and had a great year behind a generational pass rush and in between pro bowl corners.

I loved his play and hope he comes back, but I completely understand if another team doesn’t think they’d get the proper ROI on a record safety contract
