I'll take Gardner-Johnson back on the team,  but I really don't like him very much.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Knowing Howie probably has extended an offer if not numerous offers to CGJ, and with bringing back Slay and Bradberry, you'd think he would be crazy not to come back here and benefit from being on this defense. He turns all that down and leaves quite honestly good riddance. Let's get this done!

Ok, so doing some thinking now that CB isn't a dire need at 10 (and since the news is slow today)...I'm far more comfortable with a small trade back if offered into the teens. If the board falls like this:

1- Carolina: CJ Stroud, QB

2- Houston: Bryce Young, QB

3- Arizona: Will Anderson, EDGE

4- Indianapolis: Anthony Richardson, QB

5- Seattle: Tyree Wilson, EDGE

6- Detroit: Jalen Carter, DL

7- Las Vegas: Will Levis, QB

8- Atlanta: Christian Gonzalez, CB

9- Chicago: Paris Johnson, OT

10- New England (trade with PHI - Eagles get 14, 46, 117): Devon Witherspoon, CB

11- Tennessee: Peter Skoronski, OT

12- Houston: Quentin Johnson, WR

13- NY Jets: Brian Branch, S

That leaves the following reasonable choices at 14 on the board for us:

Broderick Jones, OT

Myles Murphy, EDGE

Lukas Van Ness, EDGE

Nolan Smith, EDGE

Joey Porter, CB

Deonte Banks, CB

Calijah Kancey, DL

Bryan Bresee DL

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR

Who would YOU pick, and do you think the Eagles would pick?

Personally, I'm torn but I'd go Murphy most likely. I think the Eagles would go Jones or Murphy.

Still don't think Carter goes until late first or the second.

I like the trade back and of those options I too like Myles. He just has the it factor and he's NFL ready.

He was a slot specialist who switched positions and had a great year behind a generational pass rush and in between pro bowl corners.

I loved his play and hope he comes back, but I completely understand if another team doesn’t think they’d get the proper ROI on a record safety contract

I think his best move is a 1 year deal.  Try to prove sustained success. Which should not only be stats. But also showing he can stay healthy,  at his size,  in that position.

After another good year,  if he stays healthy,  he can potentially cash in.

Howie, at least the new Howie, has found a way to level with the players he likes. I don't think he'd let negotiations get contentious. Then again CGJ is kind of a loose cannon on social media.

Do we know if the contract for Cox was up to 10 million or not yet?

Youtube TV just went up from 64.99 to 72.99

Thank you Sunday ticket.

As much as i like CJ he's like a teenage girl posting everything on twitter. Same with AJ. I know they have big ego's and do it for the attention but come on guys. you're grown men, have a little humility.

I would guess unlikely. An iDL who can pass rush is a rare and valuable commodity, reason why Hargrave gets all pro DE money.

I do believe he turned down a lucrative deal or two to stay, and Howie had to go up to 10m$ to keep him

I think an up and coming team like the Lions with "hey they're really improving" expectations as opposed to "make the SB or bust" expectations can more afford to take a risk on a guy like that. And if he winds up being the stud everyone thought he would be, putting him on the line with Hutchinson would really elevate their awful defense from last year. I had them slotted to take a CB all along, but with Sutton and Moseley signing I can't see them doing that.

So little

CJGJ now deleting multiple old tweets, cleaning up his Twitter timeline. Something could be imminent

Wait does that include Sunday ticket?

Sounds like he's preparing to block you from his feed

No doubt a working line with Carter and Hutchinson would be downright formidable. I see the Lions taking Gonzalez over Witherspoon. Would be nice to see Devon fall to us!

If no Chauncey could we make a trade for Antoine Winfield Jr.?  What would that trade look like?

Definitely not

I don't think the price has been released yet. There were reports of $300 but it was just guessing

CJGJ to every (low ball offer from other teams):

CJGJ to Howie (hopefully) today:

I haven't opened the Eagles app in forever but saw the notification and thought it might give the contract details. I was wrong

Or he’s gonna euthanize his opponents

that was a little dark even for me.

Of the market isn't there for him then whatever deal CJGJ signs I suspect will be no longer than 3 years so he can get back out on FA in his 20s for another payday.
