Kempski said that the Chiefs are one of the teams interested in CJGJ

The problem though is that we are still at the "interest” stage, day 4 of free agency. Am I presumptuous in saying that the young man perhaps didn’t perform as well as we think? Part of my analysis had been that he projected well to the position based on his 2022 play so he should be worthy of the risk but apparently that may not be entirely accurate.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Trading down from 10 to 15 or 20 looks like a viable option at this point.

There is not some great pressing need for CB, the way many thought there would be.

Kancey looks like he could be faster Donald.  It seems like that would be good.  I haven't looked at a lot of different alternatives at 15 or 20, but at this point,  Kancey seems good.

I always like freakbeast players with versatility.  It doesn't really matter if they use the versatility.  Kancey is exactly the same height as Jalen Hurts.  6010.  He's about 50+ pounds heavier.  Slower in the 40 by .08,  faster in the 10 split.  1.58 v 1.60.  Doesn't really matter,  they're not going to have him carry the ball, there's none of that on his resume that I could see.

Here's Ras Kancey v Hurts as RB

I'd like to see the jumps and the agility drills from Kancey before taking him in the first round.

Did you check his Pop Warner stats to make sure? We've always wanted a big back.

Drue Tranquill and Mike Gesicki are still out there.  Receiving no interest.

Just saying.

TE market is slow. But can't see the Eagles investing in Gesicki.  He'll still get 6 or 7

Worth it.  In this offense,  another weapon for Hurts.  Yowsa.

Vansumeren put up crazy numbers across the board ,shame  his play don’t match those numbers .

Ok, so doing some thinking now that CB isn't a dire need at 10 (and since the news is slow today)...I'm far more comfortable with a small trade back if offered into the teens. If the board falls like this:

1- Carolina: CJ Stroud, QB

2- Houston: Bryce Young, QB

3- Arizona: Will Anderson, EDGE

4- Indianapolis: Anthony Richardson, QB

5- Seattle: Tyree Wilson, EDGE

6- Detroit: Jalen Carter, DL

7- Las Vegas: Will Levis, QB

8- Atlanta: Christian Gonzalez, CB

9- Chicago: Paris Johnson, OT

10- New England (trade with PHI - Eagles get 14, 46, 117): Devon Witherspoon, CB

11- Tennessee: Peter Skoronski, OT

12- Houston: Quentin Johnson, WR

13- NY Jets: Brian Branch, S

That leaves the following reasonable choices at 14 on the board for us:

Broderick Jones, OT

Myles Murphy, EDGE

Lukas Van Ness, EDGE

Nolan Smith, EDGE

Joey Porter, CB

Deonte Banks, CB

Calijah Kancey, DL

Bryan Bresee DL

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR

Who would YOU pick, and do you think the Eagles would pick?

Personally, I'm torn but I'd go Murphy most likely. I think the Eagles would go Jones or Murphy.

Kancey or Banks, but I would prefer trading down again to between and 17 and 20.  Both Kancey and Banks should be still there.

I actually have furman playing Charleston in the second round with furman in the sweet 16. Uva is a fraud team. They play a style that keeps teams in games that have no business being in it.its why they lost to a 16 seed a few years back. furman is actually a good team that could expose it. Problem with sdsu is they have issues scoring and Charleston can score the basket and solid defensively.

$20k on the line because of you.

Tranquill is like another Nate Gerry, better player but in that mold. Not enough strength for me. I'd pass

Minshew lands in Indy

Who the hell will be our backup? Mariota?

Depending on price, I do like the Matt Corral option. Eagles could increase his value and flip him in a year. The best backup left is Mariota and he's a shell of himself. And don't think the Eagles will draft a QB.

When eagles had older troy Vincent and Bibby Taylor they drafted lito and Sheldon so...

Thompson-Robinson. Athlete with the strongest arm in the draft.

2 1st round comp picks for Minshewww

Didn't get a lot. But aside from money, the Colts are a better spot for him to compete for a starting spot.

If you're an Eagles OC or failed QB the Colts want you

ras compare - gibbs vs achane

Both are small.  gibbs is a little bigger, achane is a little faster.

I get your argument about Bijan,  balanced,  but lacking freakbeast qualities.

https://ras.football/ras-compare/?&p1=16027&p2=20015&pos=RB

ras compare - bijan vs sanders

Bijan is a little big bigger, faster, more explosive.  A little bit.

We aren't talking about a Barkley,  who is both very big for a running back and very fast for a big running back.

https://ras.football/ras-compare/?&p1=20006&p2=19063&pos=RB

Check out hand size… 8.2 vs 9.25.

That’s significant IMO, because the role I want them to play is Marshall Faulk… lining them up in the slot and running WR routes.

Mariota is a good scheme fit, but the competitive part would not fit Sirianni.

Cheap. But I suppose he has a chance to play a bit there.
