Hope it's the bare minimum for Williams and that Jobe beats him out in camp.

The light just never switched on for Williams in the NFL. He gets picked on alot in the games I've seen him play.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Greedy Williams is not good. I'm guessing it's Greedy vs. Jobe in camp.

Greedy vs. McPhearson.  Coaches are high on Jobe.

I have no thoughts on Williams other than the Eagles must not like what they’ve seen from McPherson and Jobe in practice.

Depends if any money is guaranteed. If not then it's just competition.

These are the kind of lottery spins I like.  Williams is just under 6’2, ran a 4.37 at his combine so the physical traits are there — it’s a matter of trying to unlock the potential.  He’s still only 25.

If it doesn’t pan out, it doesn’t.  But he could be a very useful piece if Desai can figure him out.

He’s been injured as well. Good DB room to learn in.

Outside of our first 3 CBs they’re not good.

Interesting that the Eagles faced Williams in joint practices last year. Must have liked what they saw.

Was kinda hoping it was a two-year deal in case he ended up playing and breaking out this year.

Why bring Jobe in to it. Probably just McPhearson. He stinks

Howie just sucks at 4th round picks.  Probably why he trades them for guys like Avery and Quinn.

At 282 he has very little chance. He would be a two-year project and add at least 25 pounds and also learn the position, which he has barely played. Maybe Day 3 or udfa if Stoutland likes him. Herremans came in raw but he was very strong and bigger.

I’d sooner keep him as an actual TE. Maybe have him lose 10 pounds for added speed, have Stout teach him to block. Would be useful in short yardage, red zone, and to close out games with the run while still having the threat of a TE.

Im kinda ready for Howie to amp up the pass rush a bit with Leonard Floyd.

I'm half convinced Jennifer Slay yelled at Darius and told him to march his ass back to Howie and accept a deal to stay in Philly.

Was kinda hoping it was a zero-year deal

When I saw her tweet saying "Im crying" instantly I started thinking maybe they try to work this out. When he, and his wife love it here so much, and youre already mega millionaires, what really is happiness? A little more money, or a happy wife?

Unofficial poll. How many people would still take Jalen Carter at pick 10?

Definitely not at 10. Too much risk for a team that is going to need rookies to contribute.

At 30 he becomes interesting. At 64 I’m tempted. At 96 I take him.

Yep and then I think he got a feel for market and Eagles were probably closer than he thought with their offer. Maybe they came up a little to make it happen

Theyll end up with both Rams free agent safeties. interesting.

I have no idea about the regular season but Scott was a beast on that SB run. Without him they don't win the SB.

Made my opinion known quite a bit.  Never would have taken him at 10 to begin with.  He's off my draft board completely.

So what safeties are left other than the Rams guys and CJGJ? John Johnson, Julian Love and ___________?

Here is a good site.

https://overthecap.com/free-agency

You can highlight a position to see who is available.

Amos? Connection to Desai.

Rapp is the other rams guy. Thornhill still out there?

Adrian Amos, Keanu Neal, McLeod, Eric Rowe, Karl Joseph...

Pickings are getting a slim.

I was plenty critical of Howie in the past but his results speak for themselves at this point. Sure there are bad deals mixed in but he's been able to recover from them fairly well anyway

I think part of the problem is the expectations vs league average.

Most draft picks bust, lots of free agent signings bust. But people have expectations that these moves should have near 100% positive returns.

In the end, it’s a numbers game. You make lots of personnel decisions, try to avoid crippling mistakes with the cap, and hope the good moves outweigh the bad ones.

Howie does a very good job of this and, as you alluded to, is able to maneuver out of bad situations better than the rest of the NFL with cheap signings and trades.

Board will never fall this way, but it would be sweet:
