Who’s the slot? Greedy isn’t a good enough tackler or physical enough to play there.

Devon Witherspoon!

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

I think you’ve been overrating Gesicki all along.

Hes a TE2 who can go up and make acrobatic catches on the jump balls Hurts likes to throw.

I dont think hes a fantastic player. But I think hes a great fit for Hurts' style.

Hurts needs to realize if he takes the 50 million a year people are estimating, it's gonna cost him wins. We won't be able to keep alot of his weapons and protection. Take a page out of Brady's book. Take a little less to win more.

I’m more shocked about Seumalo. I think CJGJ’s play at safety was overrated.

Perhaps we're overrating Seumalo as well

There were rumors/reports that while Brady was taking less money he was getting the rest through his foundation

It’s not like he won’t be making money off the field too.

So what safeties are left other than the Rams guys and CJGJ? John Johnson, Julian Love and ___________?

I was going to suggest trying to trade for Xavier Woods but Panthers restructured him last week

Even if we’re overrating him, decent OL don’t last on FA.

He was my guy last year.

This is Hurts shot at a big contract. He should get what he can. He can help the team with structure

Same with Harden and his wine company

Maybe Seumalo is deciding between two similar deals? Maybe he has a better offer from a team, but doesn't want to leave the Eagles? Hard to tell. Seumalo still being out there without any noise has been weird.

This looks like a 2yr $23M contract to me with a phantom third year to spread out the money. Seems fair in this market.

Exactly. Howie had a face off with Drew Rosenhaus and won.

Hard to tell by the way the board had been slurping him up the past month or two...

I think they just got obsessed with the interceptions honestly, and the fact that he showed up in the Super Bowl (which was really just him doing his job) considering Blankenship never got  a chance to.

It's also pretty easy to remember how trash the secondary looked when he went out. Obviously part of that has to do with who was backing him up so it's somewhere in the middle.

Brady never did that.

difference is Ruben sold his share of the team. So no money came from the team. Patriots still paid Brady, shadily under the table.

I think the Eagles have all but taken themselves out of CB in round 1.  There is great value at the end of the 1st-3rd round.

Draft is for the long term

i am all for a a flyer on a kid like this at a premium position

The cap doesn't exist. I will never care about how much "cap space" the Eagles have.

I tried to tell people that before the offseason and got all kinds of BS about how Howie was finally going to have pay for all of the back loading and restructured deals. The NFL salary cap is just like taxes in this country, if you are smart and/or have enough money to hire the right people you can find all sorts of loopholes and get out of paying them. I won't even try to explain it but apparently Howie structured AJ and Reddick's deals in a way where their cap hit will only be something crazy like 1 million this year.

Reddick is $7M and Brown is $8M. You might be thinking of base salary.

Hey whatever works. Didn't go against the cap.

Yes he did. There were many years in NE he took less than he could have.

I don’t see it. He’s a finesse player who has missed half the games in his career due to injury.

And he's been pretty bad when he has played. All he has is some athletic traits and length. Pretty much stops there unfortunately

Howie to Drew when news of Slay’s release became public and Rosenhaus was ready for open season to the highest bidder:

no. he got paid illegally. he didnt take less.

I'm talking about officially on his contract. What counts against the cap. What happened behind the scenes we'll never know. I'm sure it's been done plenty of places

CJGJ took off the Eagles pfp and blacked it out like the edge lord he thinks he is.

His social media is "Jalen Reagor but talented”.
