yep. thats a knock on Mills that in that many blitzes, he had 1 sack and few pressures. At the same time, I think his DC sucked at blitzing.

 

Anyway Im not necessarily saying we should replace Epps with Mills. But I figured itd be shocking to some to see that Mills was arguably quite a bit better.

And I do want Mills back as depth at S/CB/Nickel. To back up all those position is vaulable. Plus, hes the best red zone CB of all time.

Epps had more tackles. Who knows- may be attributed to role in the defense, and comfortability in the position. Mills was always a fine tackler. Epps has been a safety all his career. That was Mills first year playing it.

For sure intriguing but for sure out of the price range. Floyd is a potentially more realistic target. Maybe just due to age, being 30 now he could be looking at short term offers. Still very effective, and ultra durable.
