What the freak is up with the grades on that site. Many mocks don't have Murphy dropping to 10 let alone 12

Julian Love to Seattle. 2 years 12m

I would note for some of those bottom roster ??, Howie has signed some players with NFL experience.  For example, Cleveland at WR is almost Pascal size.  McCollum and Chachere and maybe Williams at S, perhaps Noah Elliss at DT, the Williams Ts or Robinson at T or T/G. Maybe they like the progress of Taylor at LB.  Got to fit at least 4 draft choices on the roster too.   BTW, draft is back to where it always should be, BPA for the future

Agreed both in the prelude and the conclusion.

So Bates got $16M/year and all the rest of the safeties got around $5-7M per year. There's no way CJ is going to get what he's looking for on the open market if he's trying to get close to the Bates deal.

Thought we had to be under by the 1st day of the league year. These sites have no idea what Howie is doing.

And I believe the number that has to be under is "Top 51 contracts.”

That is the number for "Top 51". The issue is OTC jumps the gun on some stuff and waits on others. For example they still have Slays deal as the old one even though he signed a new one. It's just a timing issue, but they aren't over the cap in real life.

The notion that CJGJ should be viewed as a top safety in the league was a fantasy that only he and Eagles fan shared.

Do not want Jalen Mills lol

I'd be perfectly fine with the Green Goblin competing with Blankenship. He has the ability to backup multiple spots in the secondary, and he's definitely better than K'von.

Yup.

Mills > McPhearson

Mills > Scott

Mills > Wallace

Mills = or > Blakenship

If Jalen is our 5th safety then fine. Jalen competing with Reed for the starting spot?? Naww. Lets find a legit safety and have Reed and Jalen as backups

He’s the Green Goblin. He needs to be an Eagle. Howie knows what to do.

That green goblin gave me PTSD from biting fakes. He helped get us our SB so its very much love-hate relationship

I'd agree with this assessment

What's better than one S with green hair? Two S's with green hair. I rest my case.

One of the reasons I'm so bullish on TE2 is because Dallas Goedert has missed 12 games over the last 3 years.  For as good as he is, he misses time.  The Eagles have to rely on their TE2 and he just can't be known as a blocking TE.

Gesicki would have given the Eagles an unreal 1-2 threat at TE and that wasn't going to happen.  The remaining TE FA class is Dalton Schutlz followed by lots of older veterans.  My guess is the rest of the NFL is waiting for the draft.

Might have interest in Irv Smith Jr. who's been a let down so far in his career but has talent and is still only 25.  Otherwise, the TE pool, while deep is very JAGGY.

I think drafting a TE before a RB might make more sense, especially if Gibbs isn't available.

I buy into that TE2 thinking, which is why I’ve always had Musgrave on my Boards.

8 out of 10 Ditkas for drafting a LB in the 2nd round but only 5 out of 10 Howies.

One guy I would be really happy with if they waited a bit until the middle rounds (assuming they acquire some picks) is Iowa's Sam LaPorta.  Guy is a bulldozer after the catch.

Blankenship is a better safety than Mills.

He was good as a red zone CB or coming up and making tackles.  He gave me heartburn on most other plays.
