We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Here is where we stand at LB.

1. We all know Wagner is out there. Probably top choice.

2. Next choice for me is probably Cole Holcomb.

3. Nicholas Morrow was decently productIve last year. What stands out most is 11 TFLs.

There are a couple dice rolls too.

4. Deion Jones is out there. He missed a bunch of games last year but might still be very good. Probably more likely than Cunningham to stay healthy.

5. Zach Cunningham missed a ton of games past couple of years though. But, very, very good if he has a healthy season.

those a-holes.

so steelers got Elandon Roberts, AND Cole Holcomb??

Jeff McLane said on the radio a few days ago CJGJ's camp is adamant in his value and they're willing to wait to see if they can get what he wants.

Not sure if that was inside info or opinion, but if true, that could be the hold up here.

Absent a trade or Wagner I'm trying to think about what a good scenario is for Eagles.  It's not like there LBs in the draft you can count on to come in and start and the cupboard is bare

Quoting my post to add another dice roll.

Im still interested in Blake Cashman. He hasnt won a starting job. But I think hes productive in the minimal time he is on the field. I liked him in the draft. I think this Sanders guy people like this year from Arkansas is his clone.

Looking at last season Cashman started just 1 game. But on the season he had 2 PDs, a fumble recovery, 3 sacks, and 4 TFLs.

Not sure how you can say that based off a few games . Mills won a ring and has miles more experience

Mills wasn't playing safety when he won his ring.  He was playing cornerback.  We saw Mills play safety here one season (2020 4-11-1 season) and he was serviceable and I would be fine with him coming here as 3rd safety.  But there was nothing that I saw from that experiment that makes me think he has the upside of a natural safety in Blankenship.

Blankenship definitely flashed.  He's a good hard hitting safety.  He picked off Aaron Rodgers of all players in his first real action.  In the NFC Championship Game he forced a fumble on Deebo Samuel and then recovered the fumble he forced which pretty much was the nail in the coffin in that game.  So he made great plays at the expense of great players that he was making those plays against.  Both plays genuinely great plays on his part too.  This again as a rookie.

Bring in Mills as a cheap depth piece but I have no doubt whatsoever that if there is any battle between him and Blankenship for a starting safety spot that Blankenship is winning that.

In that time a bunch of safeties have signed at 6million so they made a terrible mistake. The offers won't be coming up.  In fact if the Eagles go to plan B then he'll have to take a 1-yr deal with a Denver with no leverage at all

Every day closer to the draft is killing him. Even Italy teams will have their draft boards and will decide to spend a pick rather than 10M/year. Howie is and should going to recall his offer and offer less because his value isn’t what it was a week ago.

I’m curious if the Eagles could sign a decent safety but still have room for CJGJ. Was listening to Solak a week or two ago and he mentioned how important safeties are in Desai’s scheme.

Well then we are in deep trouble on defense if you look at our roster

Anthony Barr, Myles Jack, Kwon Alexander.

Lot of time before now and the start of the season.  Eagles are also going to have a lot of picks next year.  If the Eagles don't sign a LB then I would be surprised if they don't trade for one at some point in the summer.  Something along the lines of the DeMeco Ryans trade where it was just a midround pick for a vet.

Slay said he plans on retiring as an Eagle

Holcomb signed with Pittsburgh. Cunningham stinks.

I’ll add Rashaan Evans to your list. Seems like he had a decent year last year in Atlanta but was a major disappointment with Tennessee.

I think trade for LB is far more likely than signing at this point. Howie will probably do a CJGJ like trade sometime around the draft for a LB.

I guess the Wagner could always come to a contender here, but the Eagles haven't been linked to him at all.

Gotta give him a shot.

Another safety could hit the market.

Titans have cap issues. Howie should try to swoop in and steal DT Jeffery Simmons. 25 year old stud DT. Can rush the passer and stuff the run. I'd give up pretty penny to get him in here.
