Seems like we can get a DJ Chark or Adam Thelien at 5 or so who could be an upgrade

I like chark but can he return kicks? Feels like a must have for whoever we put there

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Houston dominated that second half against Auburn. They didn't panic down 10 at the half. Came out and owned the boards and ratcheted up that defense. Tramon Mark is a baller. You guys will have a favorable matchup with either Miami or Indiana next round.

Been an exciting tournament so far. Lots of upsets and Cinderella teams. Princeton came to play. A team to watch out for going forward imo is Tennessee. The way they shut down Duke defensively was impressive. Looking forward to today's games.

Frankly, I thought Tennessee deserved a 1 seed.

Replacing WR5 (Covey) with an actual WR who can see the field should be the priority. Boston Scott is the KR. Any WR with punt return experience should be considered in the draft/FA.

I thought Chark signed with the Panthers. Or did he just visit?

why can't Covey see the field?  He had 184 catches in college,  and 49 carries.

We can't sign everyone. We already need to make cuts to sign our draft class. Assuming we keep 10 and 30, we need around 10-12mill space.

Surprised Ngakoue hasn't signed yet. If Eagles can't re-sign CJGJ. Use that money to get him and just load up on pass rush.

I have no problem tipping a cap to Dallas when justified, but I don't really see this as moving the needle.

Cooks is going to be a slightly healthier, slightly better version of TY Hilton for them.  He's not an answer.

Until we see how this offseason changed the 2023 competitive landscape, Dallas still is, IMO, the 3rd best team in the NFC.  But they are a pretty bad 3rd best team.  1 scary player on defense.  A good QB that consistently comes up small in the playoffs.  Suspect OL.  Weapons are good but far from great.

If we struggle with Dallas next year, that's on us.

Disagree. They match up very very well against us.

Covey was fine as a PR, he was sure handed didn't let the ball bounce 20 yards over his head and occasionally got positive yardage.

As far as covey being a guy that can get in the field and contribute as a WR why should that be a priority?

Devonte Brown and Goedert are going to get majority of targets anybody else will have to fight for the few scraps that are left not sure how many scraps will be left for the 5th WR.

This is interesting.  Suspected he was weak against the run. We got abused up the middle often

Not yet. Rumor is Panthers are trying to sign both Chark & Thelien fwiw.  Can't imagine they are that appealing to Thelien

Mecole Hardman fits that and is another low risk high reqrd type guy. But pretty similar to Quez at this point

Saves a roster spot that could be used somewhere else.  Having a player on the gameday roster that is only there to return/call fair catches is a tremendous waste of a spot.  Give me a WR5 who can contribute on offense if needed but also maybe be a gunner on punt and play on KO.  Covey doesn't do anything else but PR.

Love Cooks to Dallas for 12 million and a couple picks.

He's half the guy he used to be with guaranteed money and a horrific attitude.

He's also 1 concussion from done.

He had 184 catches in college.  At least one year he led Utah in catches.  Also 49 rushes 6.1 yards per carry.

No reason to think that Covey can't contribute on offense.  Many times rookies don't do much.  Covey was a udfa rookie who did a solid job at punt return all year.  The Eagles have 2 star WRs and 1 star TE to catch passes.

9.3 yards per punt return was 8th in the NFL apparently.

He is a guy that makes sense to me.

If he wasn't that successful with Reid and Mahomes firing away I really can't see him doing much better here. Hard pass from me.

Brandin Cooks has been underrated as a 2+deep threat for years. I mean. His numbers speak for themselves really.

Look at this consistency. My main concerns with him are his slipping average, and him getting older. But like.

Yikes. Some names on that list. And he's done it with several different QBs too. I didn't hear he had attitude problems though, care to update me on that?

Doesn't seem like Eagles have kicked tires on WRs tho Hardman has interacted with Slay in past

That's fair enough, eagles had a guy like that once and everyone hated him, he was on every special team unit led the league in PR ave. one year and could play RB or WR in a pinch, but since he wasn't an all pro TATE hated Reno Mahe.

Having said that would be nice to have a guy that  could be a KR a PR cover kicks and punts and be a serviceable backup on offense or defense.

Last guy the eagles had that could do all that really well was Brian Mitchell and Brian Mitchell's don't just grow on trees.

He was a special player.

If there was a special teams HOF he'd be at the top of my list because he could play all 4 phases of special teams and play them really well
