TJ Edwards in the playoffs
0 sacks. 0 QB hits. 0 TFL. 0 FF, 1 PD.

Would've been nice if that PD was an INT - he had a chance at it as Mahomes was actually under pressure.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Ouchtown if he gets dealt somewhere with no Qb. If the reports are accurate with the bears trading fields away and going Qb giving away that 2nd rounder for claypool looks worse. Rather have kept it and offered it to the cardinals for Hopkins.

They missed the FG anyway, but, yeah.

I’d guess he still has some power, as he has a 20m$ salary next year. A new contract negotiation would probably come with the trade, though they could also do him dirty like Dallas did for Amari.

Seeing Jason and Travis Kelce cry together on their podcast talking about their Mom after the game is the best thing I've seen this week.

Both those guys have a ton of heart and passion for each other their fam, their teams and communities fans and football , it's refreshing to see and one can see how crushed Jason was with the loss.💜☹️

Too bad Travis is an enormous f'ing ****

Yes, I'm sure that's what happened.

I also didn't know Howie was his father.

I'm not too high on Vance Joseph. His defenses with the Cardinals were never great, but they also lacked talent. The Birds won't have as much talent on defense next season, so is that the kind of guy you want?

I feel Lurie and Howie should have some plans in place, knowing Gannon was already interviewing for HC opportunities last off season. I found this article from July on Dennard Wilson - https://www.phillyvoice.com/eagles-training-camp-news-defensive-backs-coach-dennard-wilson-jonathan-gannon/ Sounds like he's ready to take that next step and seems to be a good developer of talent.

The DBs played well, and when Blankenship had to come into that Packers game it was clear he was prepared. Hell, he even made a fantastic play and picked off Rodgers.

I would also argue against this defense being more talented than 1991.  Again... sorry.

Reggie White was the greatest DL of all-time.  Clyde Simmons was a stud and multiple year Pro Bowler.  Jerome Brown was a guy on pace for a Hall of Fame career before he died tragically.  Mike Pitts was as solid a DT as the Eagles have had.. and Golic was a solid backup rotational guy.

At LB, I'd take that year's trio of Joyner, Evans and rookie William Thomas over any combination of LBs you want to compile from this team.

And in the secondary, people forget just how talented Ben Smith was before his knee injury.  I'd take Allen and Smith over Slay and Bradberry.  And at safety, Hopkins and Waters again over Epps and CJGJ.

Maybe its nostalgia speaking, but then again... that defense literally carried dead weight for an offense to a 10 win season, back when the NFC East was the NFC Beast.  They had worse than the 49ers garbage situation at QB that year.  The likes of Brad Goebel, Pat Ryan, Jeff Kemp... just a litany of horrible QB play, playing behind one of the worst OLs ever assembled... with the starting OTs that year being Antone Davis and Cecil Gray, with the un-steroid swolled Ron Solt at RG.

I just don't see this defense as more talented, especially at the AGES of the 'talent' that we had, specifically along the DL.  They had to have that depth because those guys couldn't be that effective playing more snaps.

1991 was far superior despite the great depth on this year's squad

Gannon knows a lot about getting the best out of QBs, we saw it in the Super Bowl.

He definitely improved significantly as a passer. Regardless of weak opponents, and he showed up in a huge way in the most important game. He wasn’t perfect by any means, but he improved to a level that I didn’t think was possible. It’s in our best interests that he makes another leap next year

Of course it is bc we will be stuck with him for a few years either way
