I think CJGJ wasn’t as reliable or good as his potentially unrepeatable INT total and fiery demeanor led many to believe.

But still…losing Sanders, Seumalo, CJGJ, Epps, Hargrave, Edwards…….that’s 6 starters.  There is a lot of work to be done.  And these draft picks better step up.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

What are the Titans waiting for to cut Byard?

Likely, at this point Gardner-Johnson just moved on. Im quite sure we would have offered to match that deal.

Remember his tweet about the "disrespect"? He felt disrespected. Like Slay when he wanted out of Detroit. Guy want gonna stay here. I think thats pretty apparent by this deal he accepted.

That’s why i alluded to he felt slighted and disrespected and at that point he was out

If they chose to pay Cox over CJGJ then that was a mistake and Howie once again got emotional

Probably seeing if anyone would trade for him.

Doubt anyone is taking on that contract. Thought I read he has copious amounts of guaranteed money left on his deal.

Possibly trying to get him to restructure too.

Why would Tampa trade their best defensive player?

Expiring contract for a rebuilding team.

I’d rather Johnson or Byard, but Mills wouldn’t piss me off. Equivalent in swaganomics to CJGJ.

Byard is what, 30 years old? Nothing too big. But a 2024 2nd I would think gets it done. Id hope for a 2024 3rd, but I wouldnt be too upset about a 2nd.

My gameplan would be sign Mills, and offer the 2024 3rd to Tennessee right now. If they dont accept, see if Sydney Jones is the BPA. If not, then call Tennessee after the draft and offer the 2024 2nd. That should get it done.

Who the hell knows? His teenager social media act suggests maybe he would have considered the Eagles in the end. But trying to understand that nonsense is like deciphering hieroglyphics.

That's 3 sources saying they "moved on" to other priorities. I still don't know what that means. Does that imply they could no longer afford him once they brought back Bradberry?

Or is it "we don't want to deal with you anymore"?

Important distinctions. Either way, I think both aren't great. If it's the former, that means they chose a 31 year old Fletcher Cox over him with the money. And if it's the latter, they allowed their personal feelings get in the way.

They could be working on a trade.

Maybe they like someone like Byard more.

Other priorities could be they are close to something else and decided it was better than a one year deal with him at this point.

I would at this point. Johnson is decent, more of an Epps replacement . None of these guys are on the level of CJ. Byard or it's a bust by Howie

I hope you mean Sydney Brown. Lol

Howie isn’t paying a 2 for Byard. No chance.

I would take Johnson over CJ in Desai’s speculated defense any day.

Yeah byard is 30 with a big contract. I’m not trading much for him especially knowing Jes being released if they don’t. Johnson is fine.

Unless the Titans are willing to eat money, Byard is not tradable.

I can’t fathom giving up a 2 for a 30 year old safety when we just let a 25 year old safety walk over a couple million and zero draft cost.

He will get cut with a post june 1st designation. They save 14M vs 6M if they do that. No team is going to trade anything more than a 7th for that contract so the compensation isn’t worth the cap space.

oh god. yes I do mean Brown.

CJGJ was an Eagle for one season. He wants to chase money and measure Ds instead of playing for championships. F him.

Frustrating news heading into a Monday

We’re fine. We have Greedy Williams.

Next news to break will be the Eagles plan to move him to safety.

Kevin Byard potentially, John Johnson, Taylor Rapp, Jalen Mills......plenty of options still left at S and Howie is always looking into the trade market to fill needs. Oh and theres still the draft. CJGJ was a good player but people need to chill and stop acting like we let a prime Brian Dawkins go.
