If that's the case then CJGJ should fire his agent.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Better hope so. You can beat the Giants with mediocre safeties, but you aren’t beating the Chiefs or the elite teams with Adrian Amos and Reed Blankenship at safety. Elite offenses will find your weakness and pick on it all day long.

Silver lining for him is, I’m sure he’ll find a nice house in a great neighborhood there

I still think they could have made this money work if they really wanted to. I think they moved on from more than a money perspective

Nice guy but I doubt it

The more he tweets the more it makes sense.

Yup. He’s always been a diva and pain in the butt. He did a good job this year not being that until recently. Have a feeling he’s gonna regret not taking that 12 mil per from the eagles

I’m not buying that. If the Eagles valued him enough to offer him 12 million per year, that signifies they think incredibly highly of him. If they thought incredibly highly of him, they aren’t going to just "move on” when negotiations get a little hairy. When have the Eagles ever moved on from a player they highly valued when they didn’t get offered an insane contract they simply couldn’t match? Hell, just a few days ago, they did the exact opposite with Slay. They found a way to keep him.

All signs point to the NFL and Eagles not thinking he’s as good as the fans do.

But the only question that matters going forward is can they get a better player than him to replace him.

Not buying what? There were multiple reports with the saints he was a pain in the ass. This isn’t anything new. I’m guessing they offered that. Then he turned it down and started cryptic tweeting like he has and writing things like disrespectful and the eagles said F it were out

TLDNR: You found the key to your 2023 fantasy team. Be sure to draft Cooks in round 1. :flex:

1000 yards in 2015-2018 years ago means beyond nothing. If it did then Julio Jones would be making 12 million this year..

1000 yards is 58.8 yards per game. Who cares?  22 people had 1000 yards receiving this year. 26 last year.

His ypc and ypt are pedestrian and he's only getting older. I am filled with actual joy that Dallas committed 12m and 2 draft picks to this loser

  • Diggs has 4189 yards and 29 TDs the last 3 seasons.
  • Davante Adams 4443 and 43 TDs the last 3 seasons.  (Cooks has 49 TDs in 9 years)
  • Lockett 3226 and 27 TDs
  • Cooks is at 2886 and 15

Hopkins, Diggs, Allen and Adams are all top 22 in career yards per game. Cooks is 47th and dropping like a stone.

Any idiot who is trying to sell you on Cooks belonging with that list has no idea how the NFL works in 2023.

That last time that guy found the end zone 7+ times was 2017.

  • Diggs has 8+ TDs in 5 of the last 6 years.
  • Lockett has 8+ TDs in 5 of the last 5 years.
  • Adams has 10+ TDs in 6 of the last 7 years.

The other players in that list  (besides Allen) all have multiple 10 TD seasons. Cooks never has hit 10 and only hit 9 once.

Allen averaged 1183 yards per season the last 6 years before 2022 and he still had 750 in 10 games in 2022.

From 2015-2019 Cooks was part of the great NFL offenses of the era n NO with Payton and Brees, LA with McVay Kupp, Woods, and Gurley, and NE with Gronk and Brady.

He was a young man then.

Now he's a washed up 30 year old who got back to back 1000 yard seasons on 4 win teams because they gave him 119 and 134 targets. He's aging like a fine Eric Moulds.

He did not get another 1000 yards on a 3 win team in part because he refused to play in a game in protest to his bible study con man mentor getting fired.

He was on his way to about 120 useless targets until he lost his Captain's C and was labeled as a turd by the Texans.

I think perhaps you misconstrued what I was saying. I don't think I said anywhere I'd rather have Cooks than those other guys. I said he was an underrated 2 + deep threat. I didn't say he belongs among players on that list. However, having that in common with the others does make a point about the guy.

I agree he doesn't find the end zone a lot, that's fair. That's just the case with some smaller receivers, though. Also, your yards/game figure is a bit misleading.

Yes I agree there's people on this list who are are/were much better than him. I'm just saying that as a 2 to a good 1, guy isn't a bad idea. I don't know what the WR money market is right now though, so can't comment on that part. And for someone so into statistics, you should know those picks aren't a big deal unless they'd be trading them for other vets.

Were the Chiefs safeties great? Teams beat good teamsfielding less than stellar players and sometimes at key positions. Heck we won with Big V at LT. The Chiefs lost to teams last year and didn't even score well in the playoffs before us. Gannon just stunk and no one made a play on defense.  Of course I'd like to see them improve the talent anyway. It increases your odds

Not buying they offered him 12 million per year. Nor would I buy they didn’t want a player because of inoffensive tweets. His tweets were slightly immature, but they were a long way from being problematic. He never said anything bad he basically removed photos and added photos and put out random inoffensive cryptic stuff. No team would not want to sign a player over something so trivial. Especially a player they thought was highly valuable. I think Twitter had absolutely zero to do with this outcome.

Not at all. He’s your regular Eagles Twitter guy as Brendan Deeg or Petersen.

If this is legit, the Eagles evaluated him as a mediocre safety.

So Eagles never offered much

Would rather not start off the week handing you another L, but sometimes you make it too easy.

Lol at any dope who actually believes that tweet from CJGJ's agent. They completely screwed their client and themselves by overvaluing his market and now they are desperately trying to save face. Pathetic.

Nah dude the Eagles are playing this super cutting edge scheme that requires Pro Bowlers at every position. Our small minds cannot keep up.

I don’t believe his agency. Eagles have never done something like that and as a newer, smaller agent, they are likely trying to save face. Stupid to put it out there like that though if you are trying to grow as a business and likely will have to deal with Howie or others.

You are seriously one of the dumbest human beings I have ever come across, and that is saying something. Dare I say you are a total embarrassment. If you really think an agent who completely misread his clients market and had to settle for a **** one year isn't going to lie to try to save face then I honestly feel sorry for you. Actually, no I don't 🤡

Exactly. Anyone with a modicum of common sense would think the same.
