If this is legit, the Eagles evaluated him as a mediocre safety.

The agent lying on Twitter to make a team look bad seems far-fetched. But then again, that offer is so low that it also seems far-fetched.

Lol at any dope who actually believes that tweet from CJGJ's agent. They completely screwed their client and themselves by overvaluing his market and now they are desperately trying to save face. Pathetic.

If anything that would be the cap hits. Which would be a flat out lie by his agency to dupe the majority of fans.

You are seriously one of the dumbest human beings I have ever come across, and that is saying something. Dare I say you are a total embarrassment. If you really think an agent who completely misread his clients market and had to settle for a **** one year isn't going to lie to try to save face then I honestly feel sorry for you. Actually, no I don't 🤡

Yeah, let’s believe "Victor Williams” instead. Because Twitter randos are a goldmine of valuable inside information.

The Eagles actions all along have shown they don’t value him much as a player. Pay attention.

Depends on how much is guaranteed?

Yep. ZERO chance that agency is telling the truth. Under the circumstances they have every reason to lie and try to spin things since their client settled for a one year deal for 6.5 million guaranteed. It's amazing how dumb some people are though so my guess is they will get enough to believe that to save a little face.

You think it makes the agency look better by tweeting that.  They don't save face doing that.  They look incompetent. Obviously the Eagles didn't beat the offer at the end and I agree with Sack's point that if they ever really valued him highly they'd have made it wortk

It wouldn’t shock me at all. When Howie wants guys he usually keeps them unless they get vastly overpaid. Especially young players.

One of Howie’s best strengths is his ability to read the market. Jumping out at the start of free agency with an offer that was way above his market value is very unlike Howie. It never made any sense to me.

It fits along with the rest of the NFL. Lots of safety needy teams and none of them matched the Lions offer.

To me it actually lines up pretty well with the bread crumbs.

Not buying they offered him 12 million per year. Nor would I buy they didn’t want a player because of inoffensive tweets. His tweets were slightly immature, but they were a long way from being problematic. He never said anything bad he basically removed photos and added photos and put out random inoffensive cryptic stuff. No team would not want to sign a player over something so trivial. Especially a player they thought was highly valuable. I think Twitter had absolutely zero to do with this outcome.

Not if they already thought he was a diva and tough to deal with. There’s been crap in his past to the point the saints decided to trade him besides wanting safety money. One organization decided his antics (along with demands to be paid like a safety) and behind the scene wasn’t worth his talent or paying him. I don’t think it’s unquestionable the eagles got tired of him behind the scenes and some of the things he’s said/did after he turned down their offer

Well, it'll probably come out pretty quickly whether it's the truth or not. If they're lying hard to save face, Gardner-Johnson will have heard about the actual offer most likely, so they'll likely have one less client.

When have we ever seen any agent directly post literally anything to Twitter though besides "congratulations” to their client? It seems like neither the agent or the client are playing with a full deck of cards.

They are basically saying the Eagles offered him a two year deal worth 7 million TOTAL (3.5 million aav) and backloaded 17 million into a fake third year. They could have at least chosen a more believable lie.

He could also be a pain in the ass and a diva to the point one of the reasons the saints didn’t love the idea of paying him besides him wanting to be paid as a safety. I don’t think it’s that far fetched the eagles offered him a contract they thought was good value for his talent and all the other stuff they were gonna have to put up with. And after he turned it down they didn’t want to deal with him anymore and moved on

Its weird any way you slice it.

They don’t save face by tweeting anything. Which makes me think they are actually that dumb to think this looks good. Just imagine how easy it would be to email literally any Philly or national beat to tweet that out but not directly name them as a source.

More common sense from you. Even their lie was too ridiculous to believe, claiming a three year deal worth 24 million with 17 million in year three. This means they are saying the Eagles essentially offered a two year deal for 7 million total or a 3.5 million aav. It's laughably obvious and pathetic what they are doing. Not to mention unprofessional and something that won't sit well with the Eagles or other NFL teams.

Were the Chiefs safeties great? Teams beat good teamsfielding less than stellar players and sometimes at key positions. Heck we won with Big V at LT. The Chiefs lost to teams last year and didn't even score well in the playoffs before us. Gannon just stunk and no one made a play on defense.  Of course I'd like to see them improve the talent anyway. It increases your odds

Chiefs had Thornhill starting,  which is worse than having Jalen Mills starting.

As he was.

And even if his agency is bending the truth, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true that he was offered 12 million per year over 3 years. One doesn’t have to mean the other. The agency could be flubbing a bit and the Eagles didn’t make him a great initial offer. Both can be true.

If you notice, none of the reports that have come out by the main guys have ever specified numbers. I think there’s a reason for that. The Eagles would have nothing to lose by letting it leak that they offered him 12 million per year. That makes them look good "we tried to sign him, he turned us down, their fault.”

The fact that all the reports just say "multi year deal” suggests the Eagles don’t want the money getting out, probably because they know it’ll come off as a lowball offer.

Amd also Derrick Gunn’s report said they offered him a 3 year deal with 2 years guaranteed. Howie backloading a contract with most of the money in the 3rd year feels like such a Howie move. And would line up with what the agent tweeted.

🤡

I remember looking up the agent before FA, and they only have maybe 30 clients. There are some high profile names like Tre’davious White, Jamal Adams and Chardavius Ward. But I couldn’t find much besides those 3 who signed lucrative deals.

Easy there fella. Getting a little too heated over this. Calling someone one of the dumbest humans you know over a football discussion about a contract? Bad look.

Have you just believed all the dumber stuff you’ve heard up to this point? If youve never in your life heard anyone say anything dumber than that, then calling him your dumbest acquaintance makes you maybe the most gullible person on earth. I hear dumber stuff than that every day.

However it all played out, CJGJ is now Mel Gibson standing beside the highway at the end of the Road Warrior
